Hi All
I was just wondering how differently a team prepares for a pre season game to a regular season game. I am assuming far less time is spent watching film of the opposition.
Do you actually scheme for your weekly opponents or just do regular training and then just suddenly have a game?
Just curious as to how different it is
Cheers
That is what you see in pre-season.
Personally, I look for individual matchup "wins" like a CB covering a guy deep; a DL beating his man down; a WR running free by 2 guys for a TD; a RB busting one for a TD.
With only 13 practices, the 4 pre-season games become your evaluation period so I'm wondering if you won't see at least a little more in terms of using stunts and formations which allow you to evaluate your own a little better. Not sure, it is but a guess based on changes.
Maybe because McAdoo was promoted from within they didn't allow the extra time? Or am I just plumb wrong here?
