who has run roughshod over little people undertakes an act of magnanimity "anonymously" and we're supposed to forget that he's otherwise a terrible human being?

To be even more brutally honest he probably had zero to do with it if he even knew about it at all.
narcissists often dabble in this sort of personalized philanthropy. Run roughshod over many with the wider import of your decisions, steamroll a few more with petty acts of cruelty, but convince yourself you're magnanimous because you did something like this.

To be even more brutally honest, mhe couldn't give two shitz about that family. It made the press. Mission accomplished..
The good news, is that the family gets their loved one a very proper burial..
And more importantly it is one less thing the family needs to worry about in their time of grief.
RIP Chief
I can’t for the life of me understand why people dress like that as a fan. But I can appreciate being a diehard fan so each his own.
^This. Nice gesture by Snyder. I can understand given his past why people assume his willingness to do this was entirely self serving, but it was a nice thing to do.
RE: Regardless of the motive it was a nice gesture Â
... and believe that his 'people' did not leak this information. The information very well could have come from the family and friends. This takes a lot of pressure off of the family and I'm sure they are very grateful.
But Snyder's move, regardless of motive, is truly a nice gesture and worthy of praise.
Exactly....he's like freakin Oprah Winfrey....."I give you, my lovely audience, a CAR! I am ALL POWERFUL, I am OPRAH!"
Shut the F--- up!
Dan Snyder and Ted Danson, two peas in a pod
Camera picks up "Chief Zee" (a black man dressed as a Redskin) in the stands doing his performance.
Good times!
RIP Chief Zee (even though your team sucks!)

an "anonymous" donor paid for the funeral, and within an hour the "anonymous" donor was revealed/confirmed to be Dan Snyder, leaked to the press.
