The weird thing is I have a framed pic of Rob Carpenter catching a pass from Brunner. Carpenter signed the pic but I always wanted to add Brunners's sig. Shame I'm 1500 miles away.
So I went to my men's group at church this morning
We prayed that this country finds its way in all this political BS that is going on.
All I want to hear after practice is that everyone is healthy or getting healthier (the PUP list) and by Tuesday we expect everyone on the field to practice full tilt in pads. I'm not worried about depth charts or who is running with the first team as opposed to the 2nd team.
Mike Garafolo @MikeGarafolo
Here at Pats practice, G Jonathan Cooper carted off just now with apparent leg injury.
Boy was I wrong about Cooper. Total bust.
Me too, but how can anyone predict injuries? Guy was a beast in college!
Now he's a China doll?
True, impossible to predict. Some would get upset that I called a guy with injuries a bust but the fact remains you have to be on the field playing to even be considered a decent pick. Neither him or Warmack lived up to expectations. Not often do bonfire guards go top 10 unless they are considered "special".
Sam Bradford starts - no doubt in my mind about that and I think he'll be solid if healthy.
But I also believe that once the dirty Eagles are officially out of the playoffs at say 6-8, we will see QB Wentz for 2 real games, just to get a taste of the experience. No way they traded up to not at least see a little bit from him once he understands the game's nuances and such.
As for the Giants, I'd love to see Nassib get to play some this year, in blowout games of course, and do really well. I doubt we can keep him a 5th year even if he only plays 100 snaps in mop up. Nassib will want to go "somewhere" he think he can win a starting job.
Brett Jones, a center, working at guard. Adam Gettis, a tackle, working at center. #themoreyoucando
Interesting. I have OC/OG Brett Jones making the team as a backup to both spots. There is a big transition technique wise from CFL football to NFL football. He got pushed around last camp and now we'll see if he can stand up to NFL technique's and such.
I'm hoping both OC Jones and RT Hart show enough this year that they can be seen as next year's potential starters at RG and RT. Remember, both Jerry and Newhouse are UFA's.
Eli Manning now hits Geremy Davis for red-zone TD to end period 7 #giants
Really good to see 2nd year WR G. Davis playing well. He is the big body guy we need to mix up formations and matchups.
I also like to hear that QB Nassib looks good. I mean, God forbid, but if Eli was hurt we have a fourth year guy who understands the offense and has an arm stepping in to play. A little comfort knowing he is hitting his passes. Pre-season games will be telling as well.
#Giants just did a full field walkthrough. DRC in the slot with Apple outside for most of it.
I wonder now if DRC ends up being the slot CB with Jenkins and Apple on the outside? Wade sucks, sorry, and others are new to position for the most part: S B. Jackson, S M Thompson and CB Eli Apple.
"Larry Donnell made a couple nice plays down the middle today. That's huge for this offense." - Coach McAdoo
We could be looking at a super two TE offense in the redzone. Big bodies do well down there so lets hope Tye and Donnell stay healthy and bring improved blocking as well.
I'm not super clear on the nuances between an "hback and TE" so I'm wondering if FB/TE Johnson is the 3rd TE, only HBack over FB or if we keep 3 TE's, 1 Hback and 1 FB - Nikita Whitlock?

Crisp, fluid, healthy and in sync - go Giants!

#Giants fans are in midseason form. Guy in #Cowboys jersey being serenaded with "Dallas sucks!" chant

LB J.T. Thomas (hamstring) is out here working on a side field. So he's likely close to returning.
First play for offense vs air Victor Cruz lined up out wide left. He's working with Beckham and Shepard #Giants

Who goes to Giant camp and wears a Cowboy jersey? How stupid is that?
Will Johnson still working with TEs. Nikita Whitlock still with RBs. #Giants
Victor Cruz opens working wide left in offense drills (vs air) with Sterling Shepard in slot and Odell Beckham Jr. wide right. Looks good.

Harris, Vereen, Rainey, Shepard, Deayon working at KOR.
I see some 53 man rosters with CB Deayon listed as the 5th guy. I just don't see how that is possible given his smallish size?
LB Devon Kennard intercepted Eli Manning's first pass in 7 v. 7 drill. Pass along sideline was under-thrown. #Giants
Nice sideline catch by Geremy Davis prompts "Let's go Giants!" cheer.
DRC was working in the slot with subs in 7-on-7. Got beat on slant by King. #Giants
Nassib just hit Tavarres King for a bomb downfield. Another wideout to watch. #Giants
Ryan Nassib with perfect deep ball to Tavarres King.
Eli Manning now hits Geremy Davis for red-zone TD to end period 7 #giants

Ben McAdoo: "We're not going to be afraid to play young players." #Giants #NYG
McAdoo praises WR Tavarres King, who had a big catch in practice.
"Sterling Shepard seems like a young pro." - Coach McAdoo

DRC says in Philly they just threw him in slot w/o practice. Here they're getting him ready, just in case #giants
"He's vocal. Whether he's right or wrong he's making the call." - DRC on Darian Thompson
Eli Apple said meetings are longer in the NFL. He left the facility at 9:15 last night.
