We usually start right when the real NFL season starts because of the final roster update for the end of preseason.

There will be some roster changes and gives guys some time to play and get use to the game. I haven't even played a game yet. Also we are taking one last road trip before school starts so I won't be able to play from Wednesday until Saturday next week

I also think I am going to switch teams to the Vikings

I've been playing better using the Chargers online, so I will just go back to using them haha...until my next bad set of games

It has changed a lot wait until you get into the Franchise mode it is way better then the other maddens in my opinion I love the addition of the 10 man practice squad its about time we have only been asking for it for the past 5 years.

How they going to work? Some one may not be around when Austin starts the league and others may have free grabs on them

issue is a good question there is only one guy I want and if he is not picked up during the preseason he get removed from the game since the CPU only keeps a smaller number of guys on the FA list during the regular season. Of course the player I want is RB Ross Scheuerman who I developed last year to be a stud to run my wildcat offense

Just 0layed my first game and learned 8 can't run or kick. Definitely need some practice

Yes there are still open spots in the league.

I haven't heard anything officially, but I'm sure the roster will update at some point this week. Assuming it does, the plan will be to start first games on Sunday so we can do our normal plan of one game Sunday-Wednesday, and then another from Wednesday-Saturday/Sunday.

FA plan - The fairest way we have always done it are that teams in the 70s overall rating get to go first, and they can pick 3. Then teams in the 80s go and can pick 2. Then teams in the 90s, and they can pick 1. If the roster updates before Thursday, then we can go 70s on Thursday, 80s on Friday, and 90s on Saturday. FA is open after that to whomever.

Yes we are going to play it. Since the game now has practice squad and stuff like that, it seems more important than in years past.

Can you put together a team list with the ones taken on there for the new guys trying to join up? Also I'm glad I will be able to pick up a few FA this year as the Giants have a ton of holes and when I started a Franchise we were rated in the 70's.

I think before you start the league you throw up who is what team and the start ratings so there is no confusion. Also I would specify which time zone since some of you are on the west coast and some on the east and me in spain. My day starts 9 hours before yours does.

Oh and I suck at this game.

That's what we are waiting for, the final update. Then a FA period starting with the lower ranked teams and moving up. Even each I think. Colts and bolts will put out directions
