Think he kills Cruz. He's like Conor. A monster at 135
Diaz had a flurry at the end of roudn 2, but was knocked down twice. I had 1, 2, and 4. And he was more dominant in 1 and 4 than diaz was in 3 and 5.
I think he said he was hurt and couldn't train but didn't want to make excuses.
Also believe he insinuated he won't fight again unless it's McGregor/Diaz 3.
Thats how I saw it, and even 5 was basically a push til the last 5 seconds where he took McGregor down. Connor definitely landed cleaner and more impactful blows.
Diaz should take speaking courses from Balboa. Holy good god.
A final match at 155lb is in the cards
Got to hand it to McGregor coming up to 170 to fight and still having power to knock Diaz down a few times. SHould be interesting at 155 if it happens.
McGregor also broke his foot at some point with his leg kicks and is limping badly out of the arena.

You can't judge by how their face looks. Diaz has so much scar tissue on his face, if you sneeze on him, he'd look like that.
Of course that moron thinks it's a conspiracy that he lost. Go smoke some more weed with your brother, and think about all the ways the man is keeping you down.

in my opinion especially if you looked at their faces, Diaz was busted up pretty bad but what a warrior he kept coming.

Surprised how gassed Conor got. The legs kicks were smart. Won the fight.
Lastly 155 was where this fight should have been anyway. Conor's runaway ego got he best of him w this 170 class. He's too small I said it earlier he's not even a top 10 guy at 170. That's not a knock btw. He's not a thick dude. 155 was always where he was heading before the RDA injury.
As for the other two top fights Cerrone looks great at 170 and Rumble almost killed Texiera who is a tough SOB.

Diaz winning round 2. He put on a little show for the last minute & a half. Up until then it was all Conor. He had a few knockdowns. Definitely won round 1 & 4. Diaz definitely won 3 & 5.

According to the stats Diaz landed more significant strikes throughout the fight and in the 5th round, i believe.

If you go by round by round, Conor won rounds 1,2, and 4. Diaz didn't do anything in round 2 until about a minute left. Conor recovered from his round 3 whooping to win round 4. The only debate was whether or not round 3 was a 10-8 round. One of the judges saw it that way, hence the 47-47 score.
Diaz should have taken advantage of Conor turning his back to him instead of bitching about it post fight. He's got every excuse in the book when he loses.

He purposely started running away to bleed clock in the last 2 rds. When he did that and with the take down at the end, I thought Diaz won.

I can see that to a point, but IMO if a fighter is purposely playing stay away, that has to cost him. If you do that then Diaz wins both final rounds
RDA fight. Without that he loses IMO Nick and Nate never ever change up. Nick complained that GSP had a spy because he was prepared for Nicks mat work. Like GSP a High level BJJ black belt can't watch film.
Nate needed to work on take downs. Fuck w so many leg kicks the shot was there. Not trying to muscle Conor on the cage. He also waited almost 2 rounds to crowd Conor. Why? Conor is t going to dirty box or grapple.
Diaz and McGreggor can now fight again at 155. It's about $$$ and I don't blame them for that. Conor' doesn't want to cut to 145 IMO. There's also no way the UFC wants Conor near Alvarez or Khabib right now. Both whom at 155 will take the match to the ground. So we get a trilogy for $$$. Good we will get to see another good fight but neither with a win Nate is still not a contender at 155 and Conor shouldn't be either. .
I rarely buy into those canned lines of "the loss was the best thing that could have happened." And to be honest I felt like Conor was getting detoured similar to BJ Penn taking fights two and three classes above him... But after seeing the changes that he made in Saturday, Conor will come out the other side of this trilogy a much better fighter than he was coming in...
I think Conor's KO power will translate at LW... Nate is not the "normal" LW chin... Poirier is top 10 at LW and we saw what happened... Alvarez is gonna try to wrestle Conor to death... I think Conor can beat Alvarez but Khabib is a very bad match up... Conor's TD defense is better than what he showed vs Mendes on a bum knee, but it's nowhere near Aldo's level...
Btw Cerrone wants to come back to 155. He beat Alvarez. Think he can beat a Conor on a good night if he doesn't do his slow start. His stand up is easily as good and anyone's. There are a lot of fights for Conor at 155. All of them can be as tough or tougher than aDiaz and only one at 145. And Alvarez wants no part of Khabib and would love the $$$ that come w McGregor.
Alvarez dossnt have to get Conor down to win but to crowd him and negate that speed. To be honest Alverez is an easier fight for Conor than Khabib, Cerrone, and RDA again IMO.
