Q: How did Friday night feel for you guys all to finally be out there at the same time?
A: You’re talking about the game right?
Q: Yeah.
A: It felt good. It was kind of disappointing because you know going into that game that you won't get many snaps, but getting out there with those guys and actually seeing it come together, we wanted to do more but it was fine.
Q: It looked like you ran out of the tunnel a little early before everyone else did?
A: Man, you guys caught that? I jumped the gun a little bit because you know there was a delay and coach told everyone to come out of the locker room and that was my first time running out of the tunnel. I was like ‘are we going out now?’ And they said yeah, then I saw the kickers and the punters and midway through I was running and I was like, I know I am not running that fast, where is everyone else at? Then I turn around and I am like, ‘ohh my gosh.’ Yeah, so I jumped the gun.
Q: Was it because you were a little eager to get out there?
A: Yeah, you can say that.
Q: Was it exciting to see that you can have some success against another team and what the potential can be for this new defensive line?
A: Yeah, definitely. There was not a game plan on either side of the ball, so what do you call it? ... Vanilla. I mean it would be exciting to see once we get the game plan to see what we can do.
Q: Do you think you are going to hear anything from your old buddy up in Buffalo now that you are wearing blue?
A: Which one are you talking about? I have a couple of friends up there.
Q: The one who gave you the nickname?
A: You talking about Rex? Either way, I will be fine. I am not going up there to rekindle anything or nothing like that. It is a business trip, a pre-season business trip.
Q: You talked about vanilla. Does Rex in the preseason game plan and kind of get creative with the defensive line?
A: I would think so, being that it is the second preseason game. It's not an all out game plan for any team, but you kind of get some things thrown in there that was not in there from the first game. So I would expect so.
Q: What fired you up on Monday when you got into it with Pugh at practice?
A: It was the heat, man. It was hot! It wasn’t anything, though; it goes in between the whistles on every play. That one just went a bit overboard, but it was nothing serious at all.
Q: Do you think those types of things can be good in a camp? Like to get to another level?
A: I don't know if you can say that because we are teammates at the end of the day. We walk in the same locker room after practice and everybody has the same mindset. In a way it could get guys fired up to want to practice harder, but again it could have a negative effect. I think it was kind of a positive, nobody looked at it like those guys are going to try and kill each other.
Q: You had the opportunity to play in a preseason game and you have been out here for a lot of the practices and live drills. What gives you optimism that this could be a good defense?
A: Just seeing it all come together. Friday was very promising and we showed some really good things on all three levels, the front end, the middle portion of the defense and the back end as well. This game, I think, we will get to play a little bit more and more so the third game, so we have some time to figure it out.
Q: What are your impressions on JPP been so far?
A: That guy, man, you watch him. I told everyone the first day I got here I was impressed with him not only as a football player but also as a person. A guy like him who has had so much success can become "Hollywood", if you will, but he is a real cool down to earth guy and he works. He does not let his hand affect him whatsoever. I’ll get my thumb wrapped up when it starts to bother me and then he tapped me on the shoulder and showed me his thumb and then I was like, ‘okay, let me get back to work.’ He is a great guy.
Q: Have you had any problems with your knee since you have come back?
A: No, sir. I am not even wearing my sleeve as you can see. That’s pretty good, right?
Q: Pugh was not out there today, what did you do to him?
A: You know man, I guess I roughed him up a little bit. No, but I don't know. He wasn't? I didn’t notice. I hope everything is okay, I saw him earlier. He should be fine, right?
Q: Bruised shoulder.
A: Oh, his shoulder, okay.
Q: It must have been one of your haymakers?
A: I didn’t throw a haymaker, man. It was just a little shoving in there. I saw the video you posted, I told you I see everything.
Q: It was only the tail end though; I could not get it all.
A: Yeah, I saw it, you panned out to see the end of the play and then you came back and missed it! You were being nosey.
Q: You have to tell me before you’re going to do that!
A: I got you next time.

Jay, agree and I said this about Snacks in a different thread yesterday:

I heard it was akin to what went down during halftime against the Bears in 2006. We'll have to get confirmation from our resident insider.
BTW: if the Giants want to switch to a 3-4, they have their NT.
