Is the new slew of Giants beat reporters underwhelming?

I don't know about the rest of you -- but I've been quickly turned off by Duggan, Leonard, and even Kratch - they all seem a little childish and trite to me, and I find myself mostly passing up their articles.

but as a columnist myself, it really bothers me that nearly every one of her articles has multiple typos.

And I only do my thing part-time. You'd think part of the job would be getting syntax and spelling right - and that's not even addressing the times players have been mistakenly reported to play positions they don't, and other basic mistakes.

FMIC. It bothers me too. I try to self-edit but I know I can do better. As for position errors, I can't recall offhand where I made a mistake recently. If I do make a mistake I try to correct it.
From Dan Duggan today

a poll asking Giants Players what Olympic Events they'd like to participate in and another poll on whether Josh Brown should be cut.

great stuff Dan --

and Kratch -- I am tuning out even more after reading today's slide show on what you are watching in Buffalo

this is high school paper stuff

and Leonard -- your expose indictment of the nFL today on Josh Brown -- great headline material -- on the back page -- but your article is so trite a fan flamer as to be --- blah, blah, blah to this fan

Where did he go?

Storyline ideas?

How does the relationship between offense and defense under Macdoo compare to TC? Is there a noticeable HC lean to offense that has resulted in a different role for Spags? If so, is it as prominent as other franchises have been?, ie Andy Reid and Jim Johnson or Kubiak and Wade Phillips

We've heard plenty about the WR and Safety room's youth and immediate acceptance of Shepard and Thompson. How does that compare to the RB room with PP, the DB room with Apple, and the DE's with OO, LB'ers with Goodsen.

What's the Hankins/Snacks relationship like? JPP/Vernon? Has the $ made it awkward?

There's a lot of new coaches, who's making an impression on veterans and front office? Is the front office presence at camp different than years past?

Update on the offseason rumblings re: the OL and who was and wasn't putting in the work.(Flowers)

Despite the coaches enthusiasm, how does Harris feel about his reduced role at WR?

Feel free to contribute more...

How about techniques the players are working on to improve

and how they are going about it?

What formations are you seeing in practice ?

What the one on one matchups and how are they working?

What are the coverages - and who is picking up coverages well? (conversely who isn't?)

what are the elements of the MLB competition -- what do the MLB candidates have to show to win their jobs? -- are they showing it or not?

great and perceptive pre-season game tweet

Gidie, Again I'm happy to send a copy of one of our recent iussues in which most of these questions are covered. No charge, no strings. If you or anyone wants it, just send me an email editor@insidefootball.com. You might be pleasantly surprised. ;)

Pat -- I used to subscribe to Inside Football -- and there are several reasons why I don't anymore -- none the least of which is I just don't think it's worth subscribing to. It's disappointingly outdated by the time you get it -- and there's lots of material around that's vastly superior to it. Reading this website is vastly superior to Inside Football.

I have tried to stay away from criticising you because you hover over criticism like a laser -- poking and prodding at it -- like you are doing now -- trying to massage the masses -- but I am just not a fan --- sorry.

Gidie. Don't apologize. I don't expect everyone to like me. That would be unrealistic. I can and do take criticism. What I don't care for are personal attacks in my character by people who haven't met me. And for Inside Football being "outdated" I wonder if you have us confused with the other publication. Under my watch, Inside Football issues are usually ready the day after a game and are emailed to subscribers. In fact often the issues are available before BBI's game review. Anyway my offer is always on the table for anyone who wants to try us out.

You don't care for personal attacks on your character? You come on here and explain away your typos as if we're just supposed to accept that part of you as a professional writer -- and that you feel bad about that when it happens -- and it happens constantly - over and over again -- you putting out an unprofessional product -- what kind of character statement is that?

also - btw

taking the opportunity to gratuitously offer free samples of your paper over and over again -- is that to misdirect us from these issues -- soothe us into submitting to your graciousness -- or an opportunistic plug?
