I see the oline sucked - saw comments on how bad Flowers was.
How did Hart do at LG? Didn't even know he ever practiced there. Maybe a reason (or part of the reason) that Flowers looked bad.
Anyway, a few comments that Hart looked ok. Didn't see any that he was bad.
Maybe he's our training camp QB to make our DBs feel confident ... Or maybe we even need to find a 3rd string QB to cut later during preseason ... Thomas may not even be good enough for that role ...
The offense can't get going without the Oline doing its job, but TEs are an issue too. Next week is the rehearsal for the regular season and the Starters should be playing well into the 2nd half. Lots more work next week and a big test against the JETS defense. If we can somehow show we can move the ball against them, then I'll start to feel a little more comfortable, but boy would I hate to be the players this week.

Donnell needs to go. We need the best blocker at TE, and that clearly isn't him.
I'd consider calling Beatty. He can still pass protect. Then maybe flip Flowers to RT. It won't happen, but not doing anything is unacceptable. I'd also get some new OL when the cuts start. Flowers, Hart, and Newhouse were all awful. Add in Donnell's whiffs, and we have no run game.
The Giants had probably the strongest ties in the league to that No More DV/DA campaign, so for them to duck this the way McAdoo, Reese, etc are doing is pretty weak.
ahead and do that Mark. BBI is pretty good at that. There were actually some posters who understood that based on our last two games. They must be idiotic replies too. Thanks for the insight. We can talk on the 11th
So you're saying he wasn't grabbed from behind on the play with the ball in the air? Or you're saying it doesn't matter if they were denied a chance at a TD because he was grabbed from behind while the ball was in the air?
will soon be unemployed NFL(not for long).
I love Flowers, but he's a RT or RG.
And either our receivers were wearing ankle weights, their pregame meal was pasta, or Bills secondary is superfast.
But glad we got no known injuries.
Mc must have laryngitis by now.
When you can't do basic run blocking, and esp the history of this ol past several seasons, theres legit concerns. Its an eye opener. No excuses imo for basic run blocking and no able to do it

when Dave Jennings would be the best player in a game. Brad Wing deserves the game MVP. That's always sad.
Assuming that K Josh Brown has no "issues" and gets on track game 2, we should be fine on special teams. Obarski's miss was damning and kept us with a donut for the game.
Will Odell be smiling like that when the team is losing in regular season? The OL is Putrid and it won't matter who the receivers are if the OL can't block.
Eli also did not look good. Overall bad effort by the offense
How is the continuity thing working now, maybe, just fucking maybe, you need talented offensive linemen to play together for them to improve, this is only getting worse, and if anyone thinks it may get better, think again, the NFL will expose a weakness like no other league, thy better have a fucking plan.

I think Reese tried this off-season to improve the OL but options were limited. Broncos LT Clady could have been had for a 5th round draft pick but alas we didn't get him, the Jets did.
Also, you would have had to believe that with coach Solari being added, continuity, a young guy like LT Erek Flowers would improve. He just hasn't.
But I do believe Pugh, Richburg and Jerry will be improved inside and TE Tye will be the starter now for sure along with FB Johnson playing a lot and blocking.
I just hope with two more games we get "in sync" and Flowers improves his technique. They say a players biggest improvement is from year #1 to #2. You can see that guys like DE OWA, SS Collins, RG Hart, have improved over last year. Lets hope Flowers is solid vs Jets.
at 3:00am Monday morning and then go into work late .... and tired.
* Not really sure about the date or time of the replay?
I think they switched it to the Colts game before it ended? WTF?

- Beckham blatantly held on long 4th down pass (no call).
- JPP blatantly held on McCoy TD reception (no call).
The Beckham play cost them a chance at a long TD on the opening drive.

Nassau did nothing, but he's not going anywhere.
The first team D was solid.
Deayon is to short to play on the outside.
Okwara was excellent. Milhouse had a solid game.
Get a veteran kicker for game one.
before the weekend is over. Meet the new Giants, same as
the old Giants it appears.
Uh-oh.
So did Johnny Mara, he'll just pay him instead!
Of course he did.

Can we please bookmark and archive this post? I wish Kivorka had written it in all caps, that's the only way it could have been more idiotic.

can run worth shit vs even most of reg first team DL. TE's can't run block worth a shit either.
When they don't look worse in their 2nd game, when they looked like crap in their first.
Uh-oh.
It's way too early to predict how it will play out, but there was always a risk in going with a rookie HC for Eli's last few years.
