yet every other person on the OL has played at another position. Hell Hart has never played LG before this week and he is in there today trying to make blocks.
The Flowers thing is strange.
Donnell blocking issue is another matter all together
He's just not losing the battle. He can't seem to touch a man that is directly in front of him. That's something best left for those specialist aboard.
I'm no physician but it seems like some depth perception issues. I hope he doesn't drive because he seems to have reflex issues as well.
Neither Donnell nor Tye is entrenched as the starter
but both will probably make the team, and one is likely to start. Probably whichever one proves a more competent blocker starts. If Matt LaCosse and Jerrell Adams prove more competent blockers than Donnell, he could lose his job.

Neither LaCosse or Adams are jumping both Tye and Donnell in three weeks.
Get real.
I was so pissed when we took Flowers over Gurley II a couple of years
I disagree that he's at raw as people say he is. I think he can contribute right away and I'm almost certain he's the best blocker of our TE corps (not that that's saying much).

You -- someone who has not been at every practice -- are disagreeing with multiple people who have been at every practice. That seems a tad foolish.

No. I, who watched a lot of SEC football, believes that Adams is not as raw as pundits say he is, especially as a blocker.
gives a shit what he did in college? He competes with NFL athletes every day and apparently he isn't good enough right now.
Again, if he was crushing shit in practice, he would be running with the 1s. He isn't.
Apparently being the key word. We don't know what the situation is. All I know is that Adams is not getting a fair look...or any look really and he should be, especially when you consider how subpar Donnell's blocking is.
Donnell. Complete blocking wiff on at least 3 plays! WTH???
I asked in another thread- got no response: Why is it so damn hard to teach a tight end to block? Just decently. Why???
There you go. Adams praised for his blocking and the "scouting report"
said he's a better blocker than receiver, but I assure you, he's no slouch as a receiver.
Yep. He did get a receiving shot last week if I remember right. Short gain though (7 yards). They need to move him up and give him a shot next week. Technically, he's the only one to show anything in pre-season so far.
RE: There you go. Adams praised for his blocking and the
To me that is all on Nassib. Nassib is the QB and needs to read the defense pre-snap. Nassib should have read that and hit Tye right away. Other than Banks calling Tye out when he has no idea if Tye should have chipped the guy or not what else did Tye do to be lumped in with this group? Donnell was fuckinh pathetic. That is basic football about having your weight over your feet. A toddler could juke him.
Citing the receiving stats for Donnell and Tye is like doing it for
$18M in cap space left and we yet again have a case for the worst TE unit in the NFL and huge holes on the OL. By the time this rebuilding process is done, it feels like it's going to be starting all over again.
The guy does nothing a TE is suppose to do. He's nothing but a tall WR and doesn't even block as well as most of the WR do. No blocking, no ST, no YAC, ball security issues. So done with him.

Apparently, you missed a few plays where both Adams and Lacosse whiffed on their blocks as well. Banks just happened to point out one play where Adams made a good block against buffalo's backups.

Apparently I did, because I thought he blocked well and I keyed in on Adams. He wasn't spectacular, but I didn't see any whiffs especially none as egregious as the Donnell/Tye ones.
The same drive, or the previous drive when Banks was praising him,

Politics at play. Lots of pressure for Flowers to be the blue goose Reese says he is because they passed on multiple vets that can definitely play the position.

Don't forget the guy they passed on who went the very next pick to St. Louis who went on to become Rookie of the Year and went to the Pro Bowl. Does anyone think Flowers will ever get to a Pro Bowl at this juncture?

Whatever, I'm just venting here, but I'm extremely concerned with the blocking.
And please, Ben, PLEASE, try Jerell Adams with the first team. Give the guy a shot.
All reports out of camp are that he's very raw.

The people who watch practice every single day see that he isn't ready.
He needs to get fucking cut.

Maybe Big Ben is saving Adams as our secret weapon. A Giants TE that can block...woooh!
You mean LT :P Flowers should be our RT :P
Play the kid. See what he has

Wasn't Donnell a big, athletic QB in school who wasn't good enough to play QB in the pro's?
Well guess what, he's not good enough to play TE either!
Apparently, you missed a few plays where both Adams and Lacosse whiffed on their blocks as well. Banks just happened to point out one play where Adams made a good block against buffalo's backups.

I honestly don't remember it. deleted the game from my DVR so I'll have to watch for it next time it's on.
He had 2 TDs last year and 6 the year before. BFD.
I'd rather just have Tye start. Lesser of 2 evils. He can't block either but at least he doesn't fumble after he catches the ball.
Cutting Donnell would be addition by subtraction.
Donnell is the worst blocker I've ever seen, I agree it's time to let him go.
I totally prefer Tye as well, with Adams and another blocker behind.

Conklin woulda really... Oh wait, he was taken before we picked you dumb shit.

Unfortunately, you have to get to the red zone first before you can look for red zone targets, and Donnell sure isn't helping in that regard.

You don't say? Gee I never knew that. How is that incompatible with I wrote? Back to school for you.
