Lefty specialist Jerry Blevins' forearm was tight Saturday and he was unavailable. Terry Collins is unsure until Blevins throws his availability for Sunday.

Finally some good news!
Nice to see, not one, but two guys gunned out trying to steal!
It's just a matter of time.
How much will it take to resign Cespedes? A Cano type mega contract?
Yup. I really hope that Jay Bruce isn't their answer for not signing Ces but that would be sooo Mets.
Shortly after TC has departed.

And Citifield will be EMPTY. Mets fan s arent dumb.
The Wilpons will leak some negative press on Cespedes to justify their failure at resigning him.
Let him finish the game!
I knew your first post was going to be something positive about Granderson, lol.
The way Conforto is murdering Vegas right now it cant really be ignored. There's no way it's "Vegas" anymore. What he's doing would be incredible anywhere. Where would he even fit though? Bruce to first is all I can think of but it wont happen.

was able to break up the no-hitter and score one of the only runs tonight. ;)

Ha. I missed the thread and just checked in. Just messin man.
Now lets see if they can build on these wins and start to put together a little run.
Plus with the bench players back on the bench instead of starting the team has a decent bench for TC to utilize.
Nice of Cespedes and Thor to show up tonight. Chance to safe the season @STL this week or to put the nail in the coffin. LGM.
at Cards, then Phils, Marlins and Nats at Citi

Saw the same thing. Only thing I can think of is that Matz might need to miss another start so they will have to skip him instead.
Syndergaard actually told Terry he was tiring. Otherwise he goes nine.
So we should have some answers.. Would Lugo be available to pitch in the Cards series?

Been saying this during our entire brutal stretch. Cespedes is the key to this lineup. Our lineup just couldn't afford to lose him earlier.

with a healthy Cespedes in the lineup. And now that he and some of the other injured regulars are back in the lineup the pitchers can back to simply pitching their games instead of what must have been feeling like they couldn't make even one small mistake for giving up one run.

Z right on as usual. Big C is the key. With him back I see us rolling into the playoffs with a SEPTEMBER TO REMEMBER
Nice write-up, have you talked to your editors about getting a shot to do interviews? Perhaps just a spring training beat to start with. I always enjoy your recaps and would love to see that!

Thanks man. Appreciate that. I do live in Florida so something like that might be possible during spring training!
I dont see why they cant move them up to a regular five day schedule and go with deGrom tomorrow and Lugo Wednesday and Matz Thursday. If Matz cant go, then we put Niese or Colon there

Who we can throw instead of Neise. Gessleman I thought was on the same throw day? In an extremely important game against a team you are trying to catch Neise just can't be trusted.

Yea, I'd rather do that too, but org must feel like Thor and DeGrom are tiring and need the extra day. I just find it hard to believe that there's no one other than Niese that we can throw out there.
IMO, we would've been better served trading for a 5th SP rather than Bruce at the deadline. Conforto is hitting like .450 in the minors, so unless we're going to give up on him, let's get him back to MLB and sink or swim with him. Any chance he's taking any reps at 1B in Vegas?
I'd say this is a MUST win series, if not a sweep. Too bad we are throwing a league worst starter (Niese) and a AAAA starter (Lugo) at them.
