NFT: Fantasy Keeper Question (Posted in other thread but need adv

Mr. Nickels : 8/21/2016 11:21 pm
Sorry I started my own thread even though I posted this in the Fantasy thread but I need some last minute input especially since some rules have changed.

I have a week to submit my 3 keepers.

I have Jamaal Charles, Alshon Jeffery Brandin Cooks and Amari cooper..

Peterson and Gurley are locks at 1 and 2.

Do I keep Charles or Cooper? Could I keep Charles and still draft Cooper or is he too valuable?

We start 3 wrs 10 team 3 keeper (2 with optional 3) half ppr

I pick 4th.. What are the odds I keep Charles and redraft Cooper? Cooper would be my keeper in the future. He is ranked 5th in dynasty. Value wise I think it's smart. I was GOING to keep Cooper and let Charles walk... but it's Charles and I can likely redraft Cooper or get a similar WR depending on how smart teams are... I was leaning Cooper but Charles should be the pick? Or don't even risk Cooper for one single pick in a keeper league with 3 starting WRs??

Here is the board without any adjustments, first 3 rounds are keeper rounds and go in order no snaking teams can select a new player in Round 3 if they don't have a 3rd keeper but move to the end of Round 4:
1. Randall Cobb (SMT)
2. Eddie Lacy (TBZ)
3. AJ Green (SIBF)
4. Adrian Peterson ----ME-----
5. Antonio Brown (SP)
6. Jordy Nelson (BBR)
7. DeAndre Hopkins (BBB)
8. Julio Jones (PFB)
9. Lesean McCoy (LHR)
10. Odell Beckham, Jr. (SBB)

11. Jarvis Landry (SMT)
12. CJ Anderson (TBZ)
13. Dez Bryant (SIBF)
14. Todd Gurley -----ME----
15. Leveon Bell (SP)
16. Allen Robinson (BBR)
17. Mark Ingram (BBB)
18. Lamar Miller (PFB)
19. Thomas Rawls (LHR)
20. Rob Gronkowski (SBB)

21. ***** First pick in keeper league will be Ezekial Elliot
22. *****
23. *****
24. I can Keeper Jamaal Charles or Amari Cooper here. I was leaning Cooper but Charles should be the pick? Or don't even risk Cooper for one pick in a keeper league with 3 WRs??
25. ******
26. Mike Evans (BBR)
27. DeMarco Murray (BBB)
28. Devonta Freeman (PFB)
29. Sammy Watkins (LHR)
30. David Johnson (SBB)

Any team starred above moves after me so I pick first. The 3 teams ahead of me were picking ahead of me regardless, the one after me will jump me by only keeping 2 and picking in round 3 and it doesnt penalize him as it relates to me because he picks after me anyway. I am most worried about this team getting Cooper but he should be looking at RB with Bell suspended.

BEST AVAILABLE NON KEEPERS USING ESPN CURRENT STANDARD RANKINGS (Even though we're keeper and half ppr)
***21. Ezekial Elliot
***22. Doug Martin (this team probably goes WR though)
***23. Brandon Marshall (he probably falls because it's keeper and the team picking here has Dez and AJ so if the pick before him goes WR he likely takes Doug Martin here)
***25. Alshon Jeffery (currently on my roster too but can't keeper him. Contract year as well. This team could go Jeffery but Jeffery will go at 22 imo. They may need RB because of Bell. I am worried about this pick jumping me).

31. Brandin Cooks (also currently on my roster)
32. Jordan Reed (doubt he goes this early)
33. Amari Cooper
34. Demaryius Thomas
35. Keenan Allen

Do I keep Charles and risk Cooper based on the above? Or try and trade Charles for anything (can package Jeffery and or Cooks).

As it stands: Elliot, Jeffery, D. Martin should go first 3 non-keeper picks it's the 4th team that may hop me I am concerned with..
You are looking for psychics.

Nobody can tell you if Cooper would be there. Imo, try to trade Charles and see if you can get something nice in return. I just am very hesitant with Charles this year. Can he have a great year? Sure but you already have great RBs. Your WRs probably would take a hit. Why not just secure your potential keeper next year?
Keep Cooper

I feel like you take the obvious choice. Figure out your pick later.

I have a keeper question. Submitting in a few hours.

I can keep three, Currently keeping AJ Green at a 2 and Rawls at a 6.

For the final keeper would you rather have Devante Parker at a 7, Foster at a 7, Eiffert at a 9. I could also Big Ben at a 5 but not huge on QB

I am bearish on Rawls big time. Christine Michael has emerged with Rawls out. Plus, they drafted Prosise early with the idea that he would probably be the 3rd down back. However, your other options do not look great. Based on upside I would go with Parker. Big Ben is awful value. He is being drafted after the 5th. Foster is a wildcard to me. Ajayi always seems banged up.
I'd keep Charles from the OP

and Foster in the 2nd.

I'd only keep Charles b/c having been through two drafts, RB's are beyond a crapshoot very early.

If you can have 3 solid RB's in Gurley, AP, and Charles, you can always "find" receivers.

and while I think Cooper will have a great year, I don't know it would be much better than the WR you draft in the next round. If you do keep Charles try to handcuff him to Ware.
I had my keeper draft yesterday which is always hard to guage, but

once again I need RB help. I think this team will compete, but some questions for sure.

12-team PPR

QB: Romo/RG3/Prescott
RB: Gurley/Abdullah/Starks/D. Washington/Perkins
WR: Beckham/Cooper/Watkins/Landry/M. Jones/M.Thomas/D.Funchess/N. Agholor
D/ST: NYG
K: McManus

So I think this is a competitive team, I can start 4 WR's and it's PPR.

I will try and trade a WR for a RB2.

Just as WR/WR had become a popular strategy, half my league went RB/RB meaning very early there were no solid RB's around.

you take "waiting on a QB" to a whole new level. Those WRs are outstanding along with Gurley. No way should you have three positions tied up at QB unless there were just studs you couldn't pass on. I actually think RGIII does well in Cleveland but I don't know if he is worth a fantasy roster spot in a 12 team league. There are just too many good QBs. Romo's attempts will probably be limited so I wouldn't expect great numbers from him unless he has a lot of TD passes. And that is assuming he stays healthy. Dak has looked impressive but is he really worth a spot?

QB's got away from me. Never seemed like the right spot to take one. Eli was kept with an 8th round pick and Brady with a 4th for some reason.

I used my 1st on Beckham (trade).

and then 2nd and 3rd I took Watkins and Landry. I had no 4th, 5th or 6th round pick due to 4th I traded last year, 5th was Gurley (keeper) and 6th was Cooper (keeper).

By the time I picked in the 7th these QB's were all taken:
Newton
Eli
Rodgers
Luck
Brady
Brees
Wilson
Winston
Bortles
Palmer
Rivers
Carr

So I said F-it, I'll wait, I got Romo in the 13th and RG3 in the 15th round. I took Prescott to stash or waive, he was my final pick. I thought he looked great and who knows if Romo doesn't make it through the season he could be their QB. this league has a big bench.

and Ben, missed him.

It was Matt Ryan or Tony Romo pretty much. I could easily lure a QB from some team, we have a couple guys with three QB's for some reason.

Plus, I think Romo surprises a little. I don't think the Cowboys will be as run-heavy as people predict. I think they'll run, but it will be like a 50/50 pace and 25 TD's and 4,000 yards from Romo is realistic IMO (if he stays healthy).
