I think it was his last homer against Anaheim - he was fooled by the curveball and swung off-balance, way ahead of the pitch....and he still drove it out. That was eye-opening.
vis a vis Sanchez...I love watching him do well but lets see him do it a few hundred more weeks before we put him in the HOF. one week doesn't make a career.
He's just fucking brutal to watch. I'm well aware that there are numerous guys who've been as bad or worse numbers-wise, but he's my least favorite by a country mile.

Apparently he's hit 11 home runs this season. I can't remember one or a single meaningful hit by him. Seems like he never makes strong contact. Saw that K on a curve in the dirt coming a mile away.
RE: When you're wondering why Ronald Torreyes isn't in the lineup,
They spent 205 million on Ellsbury and Headley... might as well have given that to Cano.
Yeah, there would've been shit years on the back of that contract. With Ellsbury and Headley, almost all of them are shit years.
Can't argue there. Tough seeing Cano on Seattle. Loved watching him play. Best move is to not give those big deals to any of them. But if you're gonna spend the Cano savings on Ellsbury and Headley, then they should've just brought Robbie back in the first place
And he really does completely own the strike zone. Wouldn't bite at anything off the plate and just waits for his pitch. And then the ball just explodes off his bat

good luck making that pay MLB.

Bobby Klaus anyone?
lol, exactly! And hopefully Vesey ....

... and I am totally wondering about that. Gotta play the big contracts over the small ones even where the little guy earns the time. Don't like it!

so you think he's making the jump from St Petersburg (not the Florida version) to NY this year?
