if we trade him and treat him as a pre-jute 1 cut. Probably more now at the cost of $ for $ hitting next year's cap. Since we have lots of cap space to roll over the cap savings all goes against next year's cap one way or the other. I'm not trading him for a bag of nickels so we can have more cap to roll over into 2018.

Eli is our QB, he's clearly talking about skill players. And just because Vereen didn't have electric stats last season doesn't mean he won't be pivotal to this offense. Vereen's role should expand this year, especially with McAdoo fully in control of the offense.

He set career highs in receptions, receiving yards and receiving TD's.

Some of "we" had their expectations too high.
