The Rangers will be announcing the signing of a player soon. I have inside source, so I cant mention name yet. I will just tell you he is a 25 years old forward with a nice upside.
which we may have to reconsider now that Gerbe is on the team.
Per J. R. R. Tolkien, hobbits are between 2 and 4 feet tall, the average height being 3 feet 6 inches. A dwarf has an adult height of no more than 4 feet 10 inches. A dwarf is thus, on average, taller than a Hobbit.
And there is this bit from the "LPA" (I didnt know such an organization existed, but they are cute):
Little People of America (LPA) defines dwarfism as a medical or genetic condition that usually results in an adult height of 4'10" or shorter, among both men and women, although in some cases a person with a dwarfing condition may be slightly taller than that. The average height of an adult with dwarfism is 4'0
And how tall is a midget? Taller than a hobbitt and shorter than a dwarf?
But the difference used to be based on proportions, not height. Midgets had the same proportions as full-sized people, they were just shorter. Emmanuel Lewis, for example. Dwarves usually have stumpy torsos and limbs with normal-sized heads and hands, like Warwick Davis.
well, pj, you should probably ask someone 9 inches shorter than me
pj, I think getting a competent top pairing dman in return for Nash makes the team a Cup contender. I'm probably the biggest Nash fan here, too. I just think the defense is really, really bad. The team can compete with an average defense (I didn't think the 14/15 D was that good and that team was good enough, IMV) even if Nash goes.
Jacob Trouba seems no closer to signing a deal with the Jets. I would actually like him more than Shattenkirk as he has better longterm potential, IMO.
Josh Manson and Brandon Montour of the Ducks
Matt Dumba (recently extended) and Jared Spurgeon of the Wild
Michael Stone of the Coyotes
Ryan Murphy and Brett Pesce of the Hurricanes
Ryan Ellis of the Predators
If we're going for quantity for quality, Shattenkirk or Trouba would make sense. If we wanted to even it out a bit and get future assets like prospects and draft picks, the others may make sense

Typing up a new 10 paragraph angry diatribe about Dan Girardi.
Waiting until the Mets win a few in a row so he can tell us how much of a better fan he is than us. You know... better than the fans who actually follow the team when things aren't going well...

What about JT Miller and Dylan McIlrath for Jacob Trouba?
Gordon has the depth and flexibility to craft a balanced roster now
Some of these forwards have to be packaged. I would build a deal around any number of them including Nash and Hayes who you'd believe would be desirable commodities to some GM's out there. Ideally we'll be able to get Staal out of town as well but that may be too much to ask.

I doubt we trade Hayes when he was so fundamental (or seemingly at least) in bringing in Jimmy Vesey. Same with JT Miller. That's why I think Nash and Zucc are the most likely to be traded (I hope Nash more so than Zucc).
He's still the only fwd that fights with any regularity.
We all agree he sucks as that almost as bad as he sucks at hockey, and brings nothing else to the table.
McIlrath is better, but he needs to be on the ice more, so he can't just run around looking for one.
The need for that role has greatly diminished and the choice should always be talent over ineffectual goon, but someone needs to tell AV.
Replacing him does mean that guys like Kreider and Miller may have to throw down more often. Not "enforce" but they'll need to react to questionable hits n shit.

is that true? hobbitt and dwarf are ok, but midget sets them off?
Greg, can we get a ruling here?

I didnt know men were that small.
They aren't. Six foot is the cut-off.
"People"
Warwick Davis
If Nash is the guy to go upfront, I think Nashville and Anaheim would theoretically be the best suitors.
I still think he's their best two-way forward.
Unless there is someone I don't know about (which is possible) who can play 5v5, Sh, pp, and is solid in those facets who do you replace Nash with?
Sure you might get a good D for him, but even that deep forward rotation doesn't have another Nash IMO.
Unless the salary relief is more important.
I won't be surprised if it's Zucc traded. Sad, but not surprised.
LOL, what about elfs? short midgets?
Thank God you arent GM. That is WAAAAAAY too much. The Blues would hit that accept button so fast the GM might get whiplash.

Not saying that it's what I would do. I'm saying that's my prediction.
Or
That same guy only accruing two assists in that season
Brandon Pirri (cheap deal with nyr) is a top six forward with very high goal rates despite dz deployment.

Forgot Tanev and Honka too
Tom TimmermannVerified account @tomtimm
Steen, Stastny, Tarasenko and Shattenkirk will be assistant captains for Blues
I won't be surprised if it's Zucc traded. Sad, but not surprised.
Apparently Zucc only had a partial NTC his first year with the contract?
His agent sucks - signed a bargain contract and doesn't even have NMC protection.

How could Nash NOT play in Nashville???
Got anything else?

LOL.. yup. Waiting for that one as well.
Fuck.
Something's gotta give.
Definitely nailed it.
It takes a hockey thread to get a decent asshat in this place.
Who are we kidding? AV would probably bench JV over Glass
I wanna know now!!!! :(

Somehow though, this needs a defenseman who can skate the puck up ice, connect on the breakout pass and, heaven for bid, shoot the puck hard/accurate.
It should be.. but I'll honestly never believe it until I see it. The guy is the epitome of the 9 lives cliche.

Yeah we said the same thing last year. Glass was demoted...and lo and behold, the man was called up and stayed in the lineup.
