I'm not sure how many times I have to repeat this. People are not allowed to mention political candidates on any thread. That thread did so in the original post and ensuing posts.
Now Jonh McCain in his senatorial status is a political candidate? Are you fucking kidding me? I started that original thread, and only politician mentioned was McCain. And his mentioning was in no damn way related to anything election or politics related.
McCain was because what he said was the main point of the discussion, but the discussion was extremely civil and a very interesting one illustrating the differences between military and civilian justice systems.

I left for a while and when I came back, the thread was gone. Then I saw this thread. At no time, did I mentioned any of the current presidential candidates or even the current president. All I mentioned was John McCain. So I'm not sure where Eric is getting this idea that I started a political thread or even mentioned any of the candidates. Now, I can't claim that someone else may have mentioned any of them in later posts, but at no time did I post any names.

But not a big deal. I wasn't aware the details behind the policy of no political thread. I honestly didn't even consider the unposted quotes in the article that had nothing to do with the current election. Was just focused on the trial. I'll respect Eric's rules now that I'm more aware of it.
