at 3.9 in my 10 team non-ppr, not sure he's a guy that ppr impacts much though anymore, at his age and in this offense not like his younger days in the Andy Reid offense.
I like Cooper a little more than Evans I think. Also, as far as RB goes I do like Ingram so I guess I could pretty safely assume I will fry he or McCoy @3.3 if I go WR in rd 2.
I think I just like the 2nd rd WR + McCoy/Ingram more than Charles and a 3rd rd WR but maybe I'm just over analyzing.
and am planning on taking a WR then a RB. I should be able to get McCoy, Ingram, Lacy, or Martin in the early 3rd.
My dreaded issue is if I have Julio do I take Marshall or Allen in the 2nd? They all have the same bye. Maybe I'm over-thinking that.
I never worry about bye weeks when I draft my team, honestly. Literally the only time I might even consider it is if I am at a "coin flip" point with two players and can't decide.
I would do backflips if I could pair Julio with Marshall.
I prefer to have a lot of my guys on the sams bye week. Â
with Johnson and Ellington still there too. That being said, I’d rather pick the best RB than the 6th best WR at that point.
The latest rankings I saw has both Gurley and Johnson going 4/5. That leaves AP at 6 which I won’t touch, I had him on one team last year and he was very disappointing.
From the sound of the guys at the office, it will go Brown, Beckham, Jones, but there’s a wild card at 4 with a guy who isn’t big into football. In fact he’s a big Pats fan, so I’m hoping he stupidly takes Gronk. The fifth spot guy is a Bears fan, but that’s all I know about him.
He led the league in attempts, yards and TD's. He was the #1 workhorse RB in all of football.
I can certainly rationalize taking DJ over him in PPR leagues this year or Gurley in either format just because they're both younger and have so much upside but Peterson might be the safest player in FF
I am not throwing rodgers or newton out there due to the fact they will be gone within the first 5 picks in my draft.... so lets go with the next bunch. I have them ranked like this.
way too inconsistent and shit the bed when it mattered most, at least for my team. He had a couple big games, but more games with 60 yards and no TDs. He had seven fumbles as well which hurt the 100 yard, no TD games.

Roethlisberger
Brees
Luck
Wilson
Eli.
I'm not a huge SOS guy but I read Brees has the 4th hardest SOS of any QB you have listed (and really the hardest SOS of any QB being drafted).
I don't have a problem with those rankings, but everyone is all over Eli this year in my real drafts and mock drafts I have been in.

What RB's run for 100+ every single week? He had six 100 yard games and a 200 yard game! How much better than that can a RB be?
If there are runners in this league who were more consistently having bigger games than Peterson I'd love to know who they were.
His worst weeks were to close out the fantasy season and the playoffs. Weeks 13-15 he totaled 150 yards, 1 TD and 1 fumble. In week 11 when he also had 45 yards, he had a lost fumble.
Trust me, I know he compiled stats, but he didn’t play like the #1 pick in fantasy. I had a good team last year - I had Brady, Olsen, AP, Jeffery, Cooper, Baldwin, Diggs, etc. He was one of the reasons I missed out on a top playoff seed and lost in the 3rd place game.
...because he had a couple poor weeks that coincided with your playoff weeks? All that is is random chance. Todd Gurley had bad weeks down the stretch too. Are you avoiding him?
And Peterson had 104 yards and a TD in Week 15 which was a playoff week for almost any fantasy league.
Not really sure what your strategy is.. only draft players who were good during weeks 14-16 and hold a grudge/avoid them if they weren't?
Has ruled out AP also because he was "dissapointed" with his season last year. Beats me. But from the original "non expansion" teams in our league (original 8) I'm pretty sure he's the only one who has never made the finals. So take that for what it's worth.
Hurley was also a rookie coming off of a severe injury coming into the Â
Peterson is a 31 year old running back who rushed for 350 times last year including the playoffs, 15th in YPC and led the league in fumbles with a 2nd year QB who now has a decent WR corps.
I don’t like Peterson this year, and yes, last year left a bad taste in my mouth.

Lol for what reason? He finished 2nd or 3rd among RBs in standard. I don't know what "bad taste" he left. I was pointing out the traditionally worst player in my FF league was feeling as irrationally as you about AP.
All I'm seeing for the Vikings is still a run first oriented offense with a more efficient passing game, which means more scoring opportunities. Outside Gurley the Rams have the worst offense in the NFL. He's a beast but nothing beats the track record as AP. AP has finished top 3 every year he's been healthy. AP isn't exactly the type of player who would just fall off a map one year. I think he would retire before he put up an even mediocre season.
The only thing you should care about is that he was the #2 overall fantasy RB last year behind only Freeman who was not an early pick. He is a bellcow back who will play 90% of their snaps and he's a freak of nature. That's all that matters.
I made the playoffs in both of my leagues last year and won the last league I was in before that, so it's not like I'm bad at fantasy football here.
Like I said, he had great games, but also some bad games. For my team, he helped me lose more games than win games. And he's also 31, even with a year off, the history of RBs over 30 is not spectacular. Link - ( New Window )
If AP had bad games, it had nothing to do with AP. Â

David Johnson could fall to you and he'd be a good pick.
otherwise you could draft AJ Green.
Assuming the first 5 are in some order: Brown, Jones, Beckham, Gurley and Hopkins.
If Hopkins and say Johnson are swapped than Hopkins or Green would be good options IMO.
Way too early for Charles. Wouldn't even consider him there.
I would take Green, Johnson or Hopkins. If all 3 are gone, I'd consider Gurley.

10 carries, 31 yards,
29 carries, 134 yards
20 carries, 126 yards, 2 TD
16 carries, 81 yards, 1 TD
26 carries, 60 yards

23 carries, 69 yards, 1 TD
18 carries, 63 yards
22 carries, 104 yards, 1 TD
19 carries, 67 yards, 1 TD
I'd say he had about 3-4 "weak" games total. You're not going to find a RB who is more consistent than that.

Again, show me the RB's who played a full slate of games last year and were more consistent than Peterson was.
I'll save you the time... there weren't any.

If he's there at 19 when it snakes back around, I'll be more than happy to take him.
