who were considered to be good or even top players, but were cut suddenly for mysterious reasons?
Stork is just the latest. (Looks like he is NOT retiring.) Apart from his concussions, it seems that there were other problems with him and the Patriots. For starters, Brady doesn't like him. Suddenly, according to local reporters, Skins have significantly improved their O line. Maybe.
Before that, Josh Norman was released by the Panthers, and within hours, he was a Redskin.
Before that, Junior Galette was re-signed to a big contract by the Saints, and then suddenly released. Why? Rumors that he was a bad teammate? Quickly became a Skin, tho he has yet to play a down for them, and may never, because of injuries.
Before that, DeSean Jackson was suddenly released by Chip Kelly, amid many stories or rumors. No obvious reason to release an impact player like that, but he was a Redskin the next day.
A few years back, not sure how many, DeAngelo Hall signed a big contract with Oakland, and then in the middle of the season, without explanation, Oakland cut him. Redskin.
There may be others I can't remember off the top of my head. Anyway, just weird.
This year, maybe not.
And sometimes it makes bad owners force GMs to do ill-advised things.
I think it's pretty obvious it's a case of the early bird getting the worm when a player unexpectedly becomes available.
The Skins jump in early. More prudent teams take a cautious approach when a player unexpectedly becomes available.
Yea because he's a self proclaimed pre Madonna asshole who feels people owe him something. He will crash n burn like the rest of him
They have a real GM. It changes things.

But there's a reason the pick is conditional.
Not sure how anyone can see much wrong with the move, but a lot are trying.
I could see something wrong with a trade that nets exactly nobody except a retired player. Hell, even getting a 6-pack back would be better.
They have certainly changed their business model a bit. They used to sign all the name players to huge contracts, but that has stopped recently. Not sure what to make of them, but I think they have a legit team there and are trending upwards for once.

I agree.
