NFT: Fantasy Football Draft Question - Yahoo

BlueHurricane : 8/26/2016 11:04 pm
So shockingly it seems that all 12 players will be attending the draft Sunday. First time ever.

Should we still use our phones, iPads and laptops and draft as if it was a typical draft or is there a way in Yahoo to project the draft on to a screen and have the commish enter picks.

Or should we do an offline draft? If so can anyone recommend the best software??

Thanks in advance.
Excel

and then have the commish enter the picks in Yahoo later?
Why would you not use technology?

I am the commissioner in a few leagues? Why should I have to input approximately 200 players when all the owners can do them themselves?
Mainly because I don't think Yahoo will allow us to display

A general draft board on the big screen. Would be nice to have a draft summary going on the big screen.

Ugh, Yahoo sucks. That is right.

I did a baseball draft and the commissioner cannot make picks for another team during a live draft. It is so fucking dumb. They would have to sign out of their account, sign into the other owner's account, draft the player, sign out, and sign back into his account. Dumb dumb dumb.

What we did is set it up as an offline draft and the commissioner input the players as we made the picks. You can bring up some horrible screen but the rankings are weird. It isn't like a draft room.

So lame. I think we may buy an offline software.
Anyone have any offline software recommendations?

Guessing FanDraft????
Just do it offline
EricJ : 8/27/2016 11:24 am : link
and have the commish assign the players to teams afterwards. What I like about offline is that you are not rushed by a clock. You can chill and drink some beer. Make it last 3 hours if you want. Otherwise, with ANY online draft you will be done in 30 min. Seems like waste to get everyone together and rush the damn thing.
By the way...

you can display on the big screen and the commish can be assigning players to teams as you guys are making your picks offline.

What online draft do you do that is over in 30 minutes? The quickest online draft I think I ever had was an hour and a half.
I actually find this thread somewhat comical

With the comments about relaxing and taking your time drafting. I agree with this but in EVERY draft I have ever been in owners have complained that people are taking too long with their picks, the time limits are too much for each owner, etc. It is just bitching, bitching, bitching.
I remember

we would all meet at the same location and each person had 2 minutes to pick. There was no computer telling you who is available and that was great. This made it more interesting because it was about knowledge and being ready to draft. Today a computer tells you who should be next and if you don't like that player you just read further down. Yahoo has ruined the fun of it all. Just my two cents.
