I believe 4 players last year to have at least 400 yards receiving and 400 yards rushing (the other 3 were RB's who caught passes: David Johnson, Gio Bernard, and Charles Sims).
Not saying whether or not he's worth the money, but that highlights some utility and versatility and he's under-publicized.
Plus, he's played with dogshit QB's his whole career.
He's not at a Beckham level but he's got serious skills and speed. He's lost a few balls but hasn't had decency at QB and consistency either in his offensive unit or scheme with multiple coordinator changes.
Skill players at skill positions get paid. Elite ones get paid more. Beckham will get a great deal no doubt.
on top of being a good punt returner. And that's despite garbage at QB and no help at WR. Get a solid deep threat across from him to help open up the D and he's a top slot WR in the NFL. $10/year is what Cobb signed for, so it's the right ballpack, especially considering 'inflation'.
I'm sure the Rams are getting incentives for making the move. They have a lot of young talent and a respectable defense, gonna be tough for players to settle in but Jeff Fischer may be relevant before his career is over.
As far as OBJ, my opinion as a Jint fan for 50 years or so would say that someone else would pay him before we do but realistically this is a 3 year rebuild, we spent money on the defense, the O line can pass block, Eli isn't getting any younger, we may get a few breaks this year and contend but the plan looks like we'll need OBJ to be an integral part in 2017/2018,.
Pay him, he's arguably the best WR in the league ( depending on his maturity) can't win any time soon without him.
Beckham might be looking at double this when he signs his extension. And I'm talking about the per year average, not the total contract which could end up being triple this deal (e.g. 6 yrs, $120M).
Elite WRs currently get $15-16M on the open market. This puts him a couple steps below that.
a few weeks ago and Austin is uber-elusive and lightning quick. The Rams D could not stop him that day.
If the Rams game plan using Austin as WR1 on 2-3 bubble screens per game, he can break one to the house. Add his punt return capabilities and Tavon is a weapon.

Problem is (at least in past seasons) they had no one to even threaten deep so D's would just game plan to stop Gurley and the bubble screens. Maybe with Goff they'll be able to get Austin a few touches down the field too and keep Ds offense a little more.

Was just gonna post the same thing. There's always a spy on Gurley and an extra man in the box with no deep threat. Makes it tough to run screens without a deep threat. They'll try and Tavon could break one but it's not something that's going to surprise any DC.
19 TD's in 26 games. Not bad. Still a lot of money for him but he's also a decoy that has to be accounted for every play because he can take it to the house every time he touches it.
Coverage wasn't bad. Harris has to make that tackle? Or is that to much to ask a WR? End of the day he's not really a WR he's a ST guy and a football player.

Odell is going to get paid, God bless him.

Maybe Goff changes that.

Wrong thread.
