Is anyone still really optimistic about this season?

manh george : 8/28/2016 7:04 pm
I usually come into the regular season as an optimist, and the team often does worse than my wish-infused expectations.

This year, despite an improved defense, I just can't get there: O-Line, O-line depth, TE, blocking back/FB and the seeming lack of explosiveness at RB all have me worried on offense. I know it is "only" preseason and MacAdoo says the problems on offense are correctable, but I don't quite believe it.

Someone please convince me I'm wrong.

Very optimistic

We have a new head coach, a rebuilt defense and so far a healthy team. The preseason is not a foreshadowing of how the team is going to perform in the regular season. I would love to see a better performance from the team on the field of course but will not be discouraged by a bad one. Think of it as a band tuning up before a show. Being healthy and staying healthy are more important than stat sheets and scoreboards.
I try not to

predict and just let the season unfold. I was never "really optimistic" about this season, but I think there is a chance they could be better this year. I am mostly just hoping for a few early wins. It sucks when the season is pretty much over by week 9 or 10.
