Well it's been real New England. The road continues |
OLB Paul Kruger. He's been let go from Cleveland. Among others.
Browns linebacker Paul Kruger, who's sacks dropped off from 11.0 in 2014 to 2.5 last year, was among the Browns cut from 90 to 75 players Monday morning, a league source told cleveland.com.
Others cut were kicker Travis Coons, quarterback Austin Davis and tight end E.J. Bibbs. |
Coons was 87.5% last season, long of 47.
Also had 27 touchbacks from 70 kicks last year.
A cynic would say he dropped off once Suggs and Ngata weren't around him.
Had the same thought, but then learned that he managed to work his way backwards from a starter to the practice squad. Does not sound like a potential success story.
Not sure how their situation is at DT, but they are getting Alan Branch back.
Still one week and another round of cuts to go...
Not sure he's a fit, but an interesting cut.

Kruger seemed to drop off a lot (?) since he signed the big contract, imv

Touche and not so cynical
He was highly recruited and did well in College. Surprised.

He will now sign with the Broncos and rack up about 6000 yards. ;o)

In all seriousness, Christian McCaffrey looks awesome
Browner's two previous contracts - with New England and New Orleans - illustrate the "halo effect" that sometimes comes from membership in an elite unit like Seattle's Legion of Boom.

So here's a backup QB option hitting the waiver wire. Bengals and Giants put in waiver claims on him in May.Albert Breer added,
