Terrence Knighton is gone seemingly from New England, played well in DC last year

Well it's been real New England. The road continues

OLB Paul Kruger. He's been let go from Cleveland. Among others.

Quote:
Browns linebacker Paul Kruger, who's sacks dropped off from 11.0 in 2014 to 2.5 last year, was among the Browns cut from 90 to 75 players Monday morning, a league source told cleveland.com.

Others cut were kicker Travis Coons, quarterback Austin Davis and tight end E.J. Bibbs.

Coons was 87.5% last season, long of 47.

Also had 27 touchbacks from 70 kicks last year.

OL from KC is interesting Nowak i think is his name. he is 26 and started for the seahawks for a bunch of games...could be worth a look
TK would be an interesting body in the middle.

Kruger seemed to drop off a lot (?) since he signed the big contract, imv

A cynic would say he dropped off once Suggs and Ngata weren't around him.
There's something that could blow BBI's collective mind:

Knighton being cut might mean that our old friend Markus Kuhn makes the team.

Had the same thought, but then learned that he managed to work his way backwards from a starter to the practice squad. Does not sound like a potential success story.

Not sure how their situation is at DT, but they are getting Alan Branch back.

Still one week and another round of cuts to go...
Kruger

still had solid rush stats.

Not sure he's a fit, but an interesting cut.
Stephen Hill got cut again.

Say what you wll about Rueben Randle, but 2012 was a tough year to be drafting receivers. A lot of teams got burned worse than the Giants.
Arthur Lynch is back on the street too.
Big Blue Blogger : 8/29/2016 11:10 am : link
Cut by four teams in the past year, after being drafted by Miami in 2014. For Matt LaCosse fans, he and Lynch are similar - at least according to Lance Zierlein.

Touche and not so cynical

two of BBI favorite "Why didn't we go after" guys.
Another non-vested kicker hits the waiver wire: Zach Hocker.
Big Blue Blogger : 8/29/2016 7:52 pm : link
He failed to unseat Mike Nugent in Cincinnati after brief stints in New Orleans and St. Louis last year. 7th-round pick by Washington in 2014. His next team will be his sixth. Hocker's main claim to NFL fame is having lost his job to Kai Forbath - twice, with two different teams.
Ed McCaffrey's son Max was cut by the Raiders.

He will now sign with the Broncos and rack up about 6000 yards. ;o)

He was highly recruited and did well in College. Surprised.

In all seriousness, Christian McCaffrey looks awesome
The Seahawks released Brandon Browner.
Big Blue Blogger : 8/30/2016 6:42 am : link
That might mark the end of one of the stranger careers in recent NFL history.

Browner's two previous contracts - with New England and New Orleans - illustrate the "halo effect" that sometimes comes from membership in an elite unit like Seattle's Legion of Boom.
