Currently 35 years old with almost 170 games played. Saw an analysis saying the Washington DL was not in that good shape. I was a bit surprised but this certainly would seem to indicate they're still searching for answers.
In the base 3-4, Jenkins is a five-tech, and that has been his best position most of his career. Gruden has said they want linemen who can play inside or outside. Again, that has been a strength of Jenkins since his days in Green Bay. His ability to contribute mostly comes down to the weight of the fork in his back: minor annoyance, or crippling disability?
I think one reason Jenkins remained unemployed so long was that he had promised his wife that they wouldn't relocate outside the northeast. His options may have been limited to the Acela Corridor or retirement.
