Broncos name Trevor Siemian starting quarterback

ZogZerg : 8/29/2016 12:35 pm
He has actually looked pretty good in the preseason games I saw him play.

Will be fun to watch.
It's Trevor Time - ( New Window )

They didn't even have to give up

a draft pick and move into Round 4 to draft the guy
I remember in 2011

Jet fans telling me Sanchez was better than Eli. They were serious. Which is why I never discuss football with Jet fans. I like to remind Jet fans Sanchez did help us win a superbowl.

Bronco's made the right call. Mr ButtFumble is still a turnover waiting to happen.

It wasn't just Jets fans. There were a couple people here saying the same thing.
Probably in the minority,

but if he's cut, I wouldn't mind Sanchez as Eli's backup instead of Nassib, but that's just me

If the Giants claim him off waivers I believe they will be stuck with his $4.5 million 2016 salary. No thanks. If he clears waivers it might be a different story.
Pretty

cool. Siemian was so unsure that he'd even make the team he reportedly lined up a "real" job just in case.

No
If he runs into John Jerry's ass they will never find him.
Never ever

Then you don't follow B1G football.
John Elway

has to be frantically calling Peyton Manning at this point. Regardless of how much his arm has deteriorated.
With that defense, their offense can pretty much just try
mfsd : 8/29/2016 2:00 pm : link
to hold their opponents and the the defense a breather, like they did in the super bowl
SOOOO tired
BleedBlue : 8/29/2016 2:05 pm : link
of hearing about how bad of a move it was to move up for nassib. IF YOU SEE "YOUR" GUY YOU GO GET HIM! If they thought nassib could be a stud, you do what you have to, while i agree we didnt need a QB and we could have used the resource elsewhere, i am long over trading picks to move up for him, they thought he was a stud in the making, he does have a live arm, fortunately we havent had to see him in meaningful games...
Totally irrelevant
JoshB : 8/29/2016 2:12 pm : link
But he and Kain Colter were fun to use in the last NCAA Football game. I believe Colter switched to WR and is in and around someone's practice squad. Like I said, totally irrelevant.

Why? Lynch will be the QB Eventually. I'd take a kid like him over Sanchez as the backup. That D needs to carry the team this year anyway

Arguably true, if you ignore that winning the Super Bowl and being Super Bowl MVP thing. Like, yeah.

Sanchez is a veteran. Wouldn't be subject to waivers.

Smart guy.
They would probably trade their entire OL for Eli
DaveW2 : 8/29/2016 6:46 pm : link
Then Nassib might even be somewhat effective.
