Never LIKE seeing anyone cut, but it is a good sign. We know he is a capable NFL receiver. Not great and perhaps not starting caliber, but certainly capable. The fact that we have chosen to keep King, Powe, Dable, and Lewis says that our coaches think they can be capable and perhaps more than simply capable. Keeping White would have been a signal that the young guys were not as good as we thought.
Herzlich will be another test. If he is cut it will mean that the coaches think they will get something from Daniels, Goodson, Sheppard that was more than MH could bring. Another good sign because we know that Herzlich was capable of being "OK" if not starter material.
The quality of this roster is the best in years. We would all like to have additional OL help, but other than that the team seems pretty solid.
White was on the team for two years and saw game action ahead of Davis and our pre-season superstar, washington, last year. He made some plays, but was very average. My point is that it is good to see that we have at least 5 and most likely 6 players that are better than him
In fairness to Lewis, Nassib has like zero touch on his passes. They're all rockets.
