-Cespedes hits walk off. (I seriously believe Cespedes is turning Piazza-like. His ability to hit home runs on command in big spots is something I havent seen in quite some time. He was not this player before coming to the Mets. Thanks Long!)

-Colon tomorrow. Matz Thursday

-Cabrera named NL player of the week

-Mets tied with Marlins now. Still 2.5 back!

back issues...there is absolutely no way they can resign this guy. We've already seen how this movie ends.

Too bad we gave up Herrera for the corpse of Jay Bruce.

Definitely. You can see Flores improving vs RHP as he gets some opportunities. Would be asinine IMO to keep playing Loney there over Flores.

If we are going to complain too bad they didn't value Murphy enough to resign him. Take him off the Nats and have him in our lineup and the Mets are probably battling for first place instead of WC.

would never leave the lineup if I were manager, righty, lefty, don't care. He should play 150+ games. Ideally at the same position to give him some comfort and continuity.

Biggest problem was he didn't have a position this season. Now with injuries he has. Who were you sitting in his place to start this season?

comes back, Flores is fine at 2B, but once Walker is back, Reyes/Cabrera/Walker/Flores is a solid IF. No easy outs there, no defensive liabilities and power throughout.

There's really zero upside to playing Loney at 1B at all. In the very least we can play Flores at 1B every day for the next month. He has been hitting righties over the last week or so. Maybe he's adjusted finally.
