Loved Californication and Dexter at first but they ended 3-4 seasons too late. By then they were disasters.

was better than Shameless, now Shameless probably.

Dexter's first few seasons were as good as any other show.

underrated Californication and Episodes

The Affair after only 2 seasons. Stellar show that doesn't get the credit it deserves. Season 3 starts in November.

Before it went off the deep end late, it was a great show. I still watched it after it went off the deep end.

especially Dexter and Weeds. Ray Donovan started off well but is a pretty redundant show that doesn't grow much after season 2. All entertaining, but I won't late their later seasons off the hook.

SPOILERS

advancing years in the future the last 2 episodes and the last scene with the big 5 tokin a joint on the back deck all rich as hell was a nice scene. Perfect happy ending. Lol loved it.
Not a Showtime series but does anyone watch Power on STARZ ?

And its not close, IMO. The short run made sure it didnt go through long spurts of poor episodes the way Dexter, Homeland and Shameless have.
