Bad scene. Bridgewater down in pocket grabbing left knee. Players freaked out, swearing and praying. Immobilized. Practice halted #Vikings
The Hail Mary loss to the Cowboys, Gary Andersen, Favre's interception, Darrin Nelson's 4th down drop late in the '87 NFC title game, Blair Walsh missing a chip shot.
Browns too. Difference is the Vikings are good EVERY decade. I'd bet they are good 6 out of every 10 years. They are competitive more often than not. But they can never close and now this? I actually feel bad for the fan base.
Their best decade saw them lose 4 super bowls. It's been downhill ever since but still, they have fielded good to great teams littered with legendary talents...and heartbreaking moments abound.
The Vikings have been just good enough to not be good enough if that makes any sense. Their history over the last 40 years has played out that way with some heartbreaking losses mixed in.
Now, in terms of the Giants....if this injury is as serious as rumored, this suddenly puts that game in Week 4 in play as a W when you likely could've written the game off. There will be a dropoff from Bridgewater to Shaun Hill.
If it was a compound fracture are they going to put him in an MRI to check for a torn ACL? That MRI tweet seems like bullshit. Oh, your leg is hanging off? Lets make you stay in an MRI machine for at least 20 minutes. Hold still.

Am I being crazy in thinking this?
That was a fake twitter account. That dude has all kinds of racist shit on his feed. The real Ian Rapoport has like over a million followers. This weirdo has like 7k.
they don't bring out a trauma crew for a torn ligament
is sad. I've enjoyed watching him play since college, he quietly seemed to becoming a good NFL QB quicker than some other highly touted guys and the Vikings (not that I am cheering for them) seemed like a team headed in the right direction. Hopefully it's not some career altering injury.
An ACL injury is so non important compared to a compound fracture. You have to take care of that first. You would worry about the ACL after the compound fracture is taken care of. Also, players are most likely not going to freak out over and ACL injury. They will freak out if they see a fucking bone protruding from his skin. That has to be heartbreaking and deflating for Teddy and that team as a whole.
Has to hedge his bets here a bit because now the HAVE to make a move for a very qb to back up Hill. They don't want them to know how desperate they are at this point.
Zimmer knows it's really bad. You can tell in this presser.
Rappaport just said "team, ares were throwing up". I don't wanna sound insensitive but I'm interested in exactly what the hell happened...
You sure it was the real Ian Rapoport account? There's a fake one out there spewing all kinds of hateful shit.
That was from Rapoport himself on NFLN following Zimmers presser. Said people at the practice said it gruesome and that some teammates were throwing up.
Bridgewater is a rising star & the Vikings, who I've always harbored somewhat of a soft spot for, looked to be on the verge of challenging GB for divisional supremacy.
Don't forget 41-0.
Get your own opinion, will ya? haha

Don't start scheduling wins. That Vikings defense has given Eli fits.
Did you just become a fan last year? Do you not know the long and sordid history of random backups beating the Giants??
Mike Zimmer says Teddy knee injury is significant but doesn't not full details

Giants will face two back up QBs the first 4 games of the season, no reason we should not be 3-1 heading into that Green Bay Sunday night game week 5

Except their main culprit through the years is going to prison for 18 years..😜

Not Twitter, on NFLN. My bad, should've specified.
I would if I had to wear that much purple. Not everyone is Prince.
Why would you want to watch players throwing up?

That SB with Philly vs. NE must have been one of his favorites.
It was "winnable" in the sense that Minnesota was favored despite the game being at the Meadowlands.
That's a jackass move...

If you've ever seen what that injury looks like, it's pretty likely they absolutely were "noticeably affected".

Rapoport now saying that he said it but "didn't mean it literally". "What I meant was they were noticeably affected".

Of course they were affected. But all Rapoport did was embellish and state something that was just false.

dislocated knee?
Dislocated knee, maybe - I doubt meniscus would cause that kind of drama.
Had to be more than an ACL to call an ambulance and dismiss the team...
Good call.
Wonder if the meniscus was damaged too. The Vikings say it's a torn acl, dislocated kneecap, and other structural damage.

Hope not it's not damaged. The others will heal. Cartilage doesn't do so well.
