Officers attempted to enter the home and were told to get a search warrant, the police sources said. Detectives then waited for a warrant to search Brown's home for the weapon. Meanwhile, Brown took to his Instagram account Tuesday morning, sharing videos in which he railed against police and media and said he was being unfairly portrayed as a villain. In the videos, he said he woke up to helicopters overhead and officers at his gate and said that he was innocent. “Good luck. When you get the warrant or whatever you need to do, you’re going to walk right up in here and you’re going to see nothing, you idiots,” he said in one video. “I’m tired of ... dealing with y’all.” |
If your HS Civics teacher is weeping, it's because you didn't learn anything in their class. There is nothing illegal about trying to enter a home without a warrant. It's called consent. When they didn't get consent, they waited for a warrant.
TMZ broke the story … cops raced to Chris’ home early Tuesday morning after a woman called 911 and claimed he pulled a gun on her.
Police have been at the house since 3 AM and are in the process of getting a search warrant. Chris has not left the house, but multiple sources tell us he was defiant as he threw the duffel bag out the window, taunting cops and saying, “Come and get me.”
Chris posted NSFW video in which he refers to Black Lives Matter, saying “f*** the police.”
As for the woman who called 911 … she’s a beauty pageant title holder.
Did the police really show up with a helicopter? Was that before he exercised his rights (begging the question, why arrange for a helicopter but not a warrant) or after he exercised his rights (begging the question, why was the helicopter not needed ex ante). A helicopter because Brown threatened someone days ago? Seems to me like the LAPD is running a media campaign here. Scary things! Guns, weapons, drugs, helicopter!
You mean they actually responded to a call from a woman who said she was threatened with a gun? PIGS IN A BLANKET, FRY'EM LIKE BACON!!

It's from the police perspective. It's a "bizarre standoff". Makes it look like Brown is holed up in his house making threats. When in fact he's just withholding consent to an after-the-incident search for evidence.
Stop, that's very racist. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Build that wall
Not necessarily. You have a 2nd amendment right to own a gun, so how can that be suggestive of a crime? Similarly, medical marijuana is legal in CA, and has a prescription.
The crime was the threats to the woman. But the crime was over. No exigent circumstances. So there is probably cause... to get a warrant.

She was not in the home by the time she called the police. So doing a weapons search was about evidence, not responding to a crime in progress.

Are you a 1000% sure?
But because legitimately horrible travesties have been carried out against blacks by those in positions of authority, the law no longer applies to Brown by virtue of his being black. "F*ck the police! Because those law officers did that horrible thing I a completely unrelated situation I can do whatever the f*ck I want! Bitch was lookin at my jewlz! Shit ain't reglar like Tommer, either! Black lives matter!"
Who's a bigger twat is the question.. Danny or Chris?
*is
What exactly are his talents besides being well endowed and attractive to women?

has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he is a twat - an exceedingly talented one, but a twat nonetheless.

He's a good dancer, and he can sing. I think he's a piece of shit, but it's not like the guy is not talented. What age was he when his first album came out?
Unpopular take, but Kim K actually has a lot of branding talent. That's why she makes a ton of money. Obviously the sex tape is what brought her some fame, but she has worked to make a brand and capitalize on it.
Anyway, we can begrudge a lot of people for how they got rich. How many rich people are rich because their parents were rich? Where is the nobility in being rich because some ancestor owned land, ships, trains, or other human beings?

What is branding talent but securing the loyalty of the equally vapid and soulless? I agree that there's nothing noble about inherited wealth, they're just not as easy a target. Maybe if they had asses the size of a food truck...

I'd say she's shown better business acumen than a certain political candidate running on his business record.

What? That was pretty pleasant. I could've swore and called you all kinds of names associated with an infantile lack of restraint. Instead I playfully suggested you're not as sharp as a vapid sex object.

I think it's a problem that "branding talent"is a thing and that it can make someone rich.
