Thanks for sharing this and I am sorry for your loss. Your reminder for the rest of us to take a moment to show some love to our parents---and other loved ones---is a good message. My mom is 80 and lives with us and sometimes one does not stop and remember that is a blessing and not a burden.

Again, I truly feel badly about your loss and I hearing this will impact how I greet my mom this evening, so thank you for that.

..to you and your family. I just finished saying Kaddish for my father a month ago, and yes, losing a parent is so difficult and life-altering. But I am at this very moment sitting on a plane bound from LA back home to NYC with my 85-year old mother, who is an amazingly vital, active and positive person, and just as you suggested, I do cherish her and tell her I love her all the time, and will do so as long as I am fortunate to have her around.

It was great seeing you the other day -- such a sad think losing a Mom -- I hope your memories of her sustain you in this time of grief my friend

my parents are both long gone -- but I can tell you, based on my own experience, that they never truly leave you -- things will happen that remind you of them frequently -- and mine appear in dreams from time to time especially my mom

sorry for your loss brother. Condolences to you and the family. In about an hour im actually heading to the viewing of the mom of a buddy of mine.

It hasnt been that long since i lost my parents and like gidie saysits the same for me too. They never really leave you but in time you will deal with it better than you think you will be able to right now. There will always be times when some seemingly random thing will trigger a memory that will cause you to smile or cause you to tear up a little bit. Treasure those memories.

I remember posting on BBI about it too and got a lot of support and good advice. This is a solid community when it comes to things that really matter. And you are a part of that. Hang in there buddy.

I wish HopeJ was still here to post one of her wonderful prayers for your Mom, but at least we can be certain that Hope will be waiting at the gates of Heaven for your Mom with a big smile, open arms, and privileged access to the best parts of Heaven.
