NFT: My mom passed tonight

I wouldn't normally do this but many of you have done nice things for her and I wanted to say thank you. She was 81 yo and went on her terms. She was a GIANTS fan and made sure I got to go the 1987 NFCCG. Matter of fact she was going to go to camp to watch the team but became ill. Thanks to PAT Hanlon for making sure that she would be taken care of.

I took care of my mom through cancer for five years, so we had a special bond. I'm going to miss that lady. I ask all of you to hug your parents and tell them how much you love them.

I'm in the same boat, my mom is 91 and has had C for the last 5 years also. She can go at any time. We have to be thankful to the Good Lord that we've had them for so long. Other people aren't as fortunate as we are.

Sorry she had to live with this horrid disease. I lost my Mom when she was 49 to cancer and felt extreme sadness for losing her but relief that she did not need to live another day fighting this terrible battle. My heart goes out to you.

Thanks for sharing this and I am sorry for your loss. Your reminder for the rest of us to take a moment to show some love to our parents---and other loved ones---is a good message. My mom is 80 and lives with us and sometimes one does not stop and remember that is a blessing and not a burden.

Again, I truly feel badly about your loss and I hearing this will impact how I greet my mom this evening, so thank you for that.
