NGT: Rams

TexasGmenFan : 9/18/2016 7:10 pm
have to be one of the strangest teams of the last couple of years. for whatever reason, they just have Seattle's #.

i mean they looked about as bad as a team can 6 days ago, but just keep beating Seattle. amazing.

i guess someone should just post the Jeff Fisher decision tree, haha.
That's some 7-9 bullshit for you

Rams will lose next week, of course.

id rather drink bleach than watch a rams game.
Seattle's offense is terrible
jlukes : 9/18/2016 7:14 pm : link
their offensive line is brutal, Wilson is playing hurt, and their WRs seem to be very inconsistent

agree with this as well. it was going to be difficult for them to take the division with Arizona there anyhow, but I really think the Cards can take it by 3+ games. Seattle may not even have the juice for a playoff berth this year

/yes i realize it's week 2.
Is it possible that without Lynch, Wilson is not that great?
BestFeature : 9/18/2016 7:19 pm : link
I think he's an overrated QB. A good QB that plays well when he has all the pieces around him.
Seattle
hassan : 9/18/2016 7:26 pm : link
Is not a strong team this year.....and the most overhyped player in the league, Wilson will be exposed with no firepower and a weak line.

Don't be surprised if Seattle is a 7-9 team along with the Rams.....

Correct.

He has a nice deep ball.....can't be denied. Every single game he seems to hit one or two nice throws like that.

But an offense cannot be "chunk based" the entire time. He doesn't have the ability to move the chains with great consistency against top 10 defenses.

Now it's also probably the arrogance of that GM/HC combo that think that a garbage OL is ok since it was alright when they had Marshawn Lynch, and teams didn't know how to contain Wilson in the pocket.

Now that those two things are no longer true, it's not looking good.

BTW, with reference to the OP, the Rams are a hysterical franchise. Never seen anything like it before.

Seattle fall will be highly enjoyable as they have a bandwagon fan base and that team has escaped the critics.....
Jeff fisher's philosophy
larryflower37 : 9/18/2016 7:52 pm : link
The Rams often beat Seattle
santacruzom : 9/18/2016 8:27 pm : link
And Seattle hasn't been immune to slow starts in the season. I have a hunch that once again, they'll be fine.
BBi wants the outside world to respect Eli like we do
xman : 9/18/2016 8:32 pm : link
yet we show no respect for other QB's like Wilson. His line has been shit for years. If he wins we says its the defense or Lynch's legs. Had a great SB win with amazing stats but we say it was the defense that won it

People crap on Eli all the time. The mainstream media rates Eli underneath Wilson who is considered an mvp candidate by some.

I rarely hear such critiques of Wilson. Wilson is a good player who had a good super bowl but he has been carried by a lot of factors such as an elite d and run game. He's not elite and they have not set him up to succeed in Seattle like in years past.

Additionally I personally find wilsons God act annoying.

YEP.
I hope the Rams continue to do well ....

By the time the Giants play out here, they'll probably be in their new stadium (which is going to be pretty awesome).

The nicest stadium I've ever been to is at Glendale AZ. The Cards have a beautiful tail-gating area (which was thoroughly enjoyed by a very large Giants fan contingent). It was a lot of fun.

Hope the new Rams park is just as good; I'd love to see a lot of Giants fans here.

Citifield is much nicer than the Cardinals stadium.
Well at least there's a consistency to Jeff Fisher
moespree : 9/19/2016 12:50 am : link
His teams will always cheap shot you. He'll always act like the most morally superior coach in the league. And he'll always win you 5-7 games for 10 years in a row and steal millions of dollars from a dumbass owner who thinks he's a top tier coach.

+100000
I agree on Wilson to an extent
UConn4523 : 9/19/2016 12:33 pm : link
he's definitely a really good QB and he earned that SB with a great performance. But, as with any other QB who had success early on, he needs to step up now that the team doesn't have its premier RB. I don't think its unfair to take the wait and see approach with him. I enjoy watching him play even though I'm not really a fan (more to do with Carroll than anything else) and the way he handles this injury and a very slow start will show me how good he is.
