Some quick stats looking at the Skins so far.
They're converting on 36 percent of their third downs while giving up 57 percent.
Cousins has only thrown 1 touchdown in their two games.
They've given up 5 rushing touchdowns. Their OL has allowed five sacks through two games. They've rushed for 68 yards pers game while allowing 124.
The Giants should be able to make Washington a 1 dimensional team. I think we'll get our first turnover this weekend as well.
Stop the run and make Cousins beat you on through the air. Control the game on offense by running and taking an occasional deep shot. Hold on the to the damn ball.
The Giants will have to match their intensity level. If they do I think they'll win. On paper we have more talent.
Pretty sure none of us are going to be playing in the game on Sunday. I never understand comments like this.
3-0 in NFC
2-0 in division
bury Washington in process
It will not be easy

Not on paper but rather on the field.
There's not much about Washington's D that will scare anyone. Their corners are pretty good. Everything else is "meh", though Kerrigan will make an occasional play.
If the Giants are minus-three on turnovers again (or minus-anything, for that matter) and settle for FGs, they are likely to lose. They are the better team, but I don't see a huge margin as this early stage.
Each game is different. This is a must win for the skins. I expect a tough, close game.
Against a D with a bad and injured secondary.
The only reason it wouldn't be close is if Washington lays an egg. Individually and collectively, they will not let that happen against us.
They've made I believe 10 trips to the Red Zone in both games. Although since they can't run the ball, they've fallen in love with throwing the fade pass to their WRs, which really is not a strength of this team or Cousin's.
If they clean up their Red Zone play calling, they could be difficult to matchup this week, especially with Jordan Reed.
I somewhat agree about the "playing for the season" angle for Washington, but let's step on their throats and bury them!
Remember that the team started off last year 5-7 before winning the last four against:
1- A Chicago Bears team that was 5-7 at the time
2- A Bills team that was 6-7 at the time
3- A Eagles team that was 6-7 at the time
4- A Dallas Cowboys team that was 4-11 and had lost 11 of their last 14
It's early but their schedule last year was incredibly easy.
Manning threw three interceptions, two of which bounced out of the receivers' hands and into the defenders. Then he threw a pick in the end zone.
This team just needs to not get back into the habit of the kind of stupid mistakes they made last season and like the ones they started making again yesterday.
Sorry to be the Negative or at least Nervous Nelly, but this game could be a stinker for us. Yup, we're better on paper and opposing QB has sucked and we're at home...and how many of those games have we lost in recent history? Hopefully the regime change has really taken hold.

I think Crowder and Doctson have playmaking ability too, although it might be more potential than proven at this point. Chris Thompson could be dangerous out of the backfield if they can get him out in space on a linebacker.
Probably safe to say Vernon Davis's playmaker days are behind him, although the defense still has to account for him when he's on the field. I agree that Matt Jones is starting only because they don't have a better option.
Cousins had a great year but they were:
1- 20th in rushing
2- 2nd in lost fumbles
3- 28th in yards per game
4- 17th in points given up
With Cousins not playing well + the defense not as good in the red zone + not creating turnovers, that's where the struggles come from
Matching the intensity level of your opponent matters. Desperation means a higher level of intensity/focus. It's not the sole factor.
Washington is a division rival, a fairly well-balanced team -- and will be a big challenge for the Giants next week -
However, the offense has got to be feeling like they owe our defense. And they do. The owe the defense a a nice cushy two + score lead. This is the week our offense gets its shit together and causes Washington to implode.

That's a good track record over 6 games against this franchise. We're to them like the Eagles have been to us.
To be fair, you don't need YAC when you catch it in the end zone, which Crowder did yesterday.
Quote:
2 crap teams. Don't blow it against the Foreskins by giving one away at home. End the Sklins season in Week 3, give Snyder a stroke. Quite the exacta.
Ugh. How does that hide a poster gizmo work again?
you're a tiresome doosh. I suppose they blew out 2 good teams rather than squeaked by 1 team with no QB and a putrid defense and another with a fine QB and some weapon but actually has a worse defense than Dallas? Take Greg's advice, find that function and share it with all of us so we can block your nonsense.
