For 2 obvious reasons: bury the Skins early and continue to build a W buffer before the 2 toughest games on our schedule. I'm nervous, actually. In the recent past, the NYG would routinely put up a "no show" or lay an egg these big games. If things are indeed different, win this game.
Giants fans feeling good skins fans not feeling good... I hope we don't feel too good while they feel not so good as this could lead to the Giants coming out not so good which would be bad.
That was why the game was even close. I am hoping we can rattle Cousins and create some turnovers of our own. After their performance last week, coming on the road to a division opponent is a lot of pressure for the Skins.
He has been missing open receivers and this week they will not be open. Keep him in the pocket and run a few blitzes and I believe Cousins will throw picks. I am more worried about the Giants offense after last weeks drop/fumble shitshow.
They didn't and the Giants are 2-0 and we are happy. And I know good team find a way to win etc. etc. etc.
Well - we all watched the Giants last year - they went 6-10 but "could have easily been 10-6"...."if things had been a little different or the ball bounced a different way"...I'm not so sure about that. We had the worst defense in NFL history last season. That's why we sucked.
involves a division opponent..They're always 0-0 to me..Also, even Cousins won't again miss all the easy targets he missed during last week's game, imv, assuming we allow easy targets..

Why not? He's not good. Beating up on some patsies last year didn't change that.
isn't as horrific as some on here would lead you to believe - but nothing about this Skins team makes me think we can't beat them soundly on Sunday. Let's get it done. 33-17

This is my take as well. We can play them exactly how we played Dallas and shut them down. Let Reed have 50 underneath catches. As long as thy settle for field goals I'm fine.
Not too mention our offense is due for a big game.

But NEVER beating a team with a winning record seems to be a pretty telling stat. Also, his QBR is something like 40 points lower against teams not having a winning record.
does not mean they are going to lie down on us.....they blew that game last week.....the Cowboys should be 0-2....
We won two games in the final seconds that we probably would have lost last year......
We can speculate this and that, but your record tells you what you are....
This is a game where we have a real chance to put a real hurt on the Skins by defeating them.....this is the kind of game, where for some unknown reason, a TC team would not seem to show up(remember the second Washington game after the bye?)........
This is Mac's team now....he has to have them ready, from the opening kickoff.....this is a great opportunity that mustn't be squandered....

From my memory it was always games where Giants could "solidify a division lead" usually in the middle of the season and that would start the swoon.
how refreshing it is to see realistic fan who aren't drinking the kook aide. We haven't exactly light the world on fire the last two games. Hopefully we put it all together but they better be ready. 'Skins can easily come in here and beat us. Any given Sunday
this is the sort of game the Giants would have come out looking flat and unprepared, and completely squandered the opportunity to put Washington in a huge hole.
I'm cautiously optimistic that this squad is different.
Not having Randle moping around this year should help.
Call me crazy but as a Giant fan, this game scares the hell out of me. The Giants, they're a weird bunch in games they have no business in they fight and in games they should roll they struggle.
The Giants linebacking Corp is still brutal. I see Reed owning the middle and the Giant offense sputtering. Call me crazy but I see the Skins 20-14 over the Giants.
I note that our snow-obsessed friend Tom is posting over there
The defense not so much.
If Cousins is "on" the Giants are in for one hell of a fight...typical Giants nail bighter going down to the last possession.
That should work in Giants favor. They way things have played out the last couple of games, I have more faith in the Giants defense than the offense. I think Giants defense can handle their offense.
Giants offense concerns me more, mostly because of the lack of a consistent running game (even before Jennings & Newhouse's injuries), a suspect OL, and concern over OBJ's head being in the right place for this game.
How in the world is a division game in Week 3 a trap game?
We love to rag on the skins fans, but after a loss this place can be just as pathetic and sorry.

If that receiver gets out of bounds, Dallas gets to try a 57 yard field goal
If Cruz doesn't make a great catch, Giants try a 53 yard field goal with game on the line..... a miss, well you know
Not that difficult to imagine an 0-2 start had those things occurred.
They didn't and the Giants are 2-0 and we are happy. And I know good team find a way to win etc. etc. etc.

LOLWUT?
Was Williams going to sprout wings and fly to the 39 yard line?

The Giants defense did a really good job on NO, which maybe not as potent as past years, is still a very good offense.
We did a great job on third down too.

I feel like the Giants should win, but I'm never overly-confident about a division rival.

a division game is never a trap game, the redskins could be 0-7 and it wouldnt be a trap game
