Terry admitted he lost the game for the team because he should have had a pinch-runner for Flores. A pinch runner most likely would have scored easily. Terry said he was pre-occupied planning his pitching moves and didn't think about a pinch-runner. Well what about the other coaches? Nobody thought of it and mentioned it to T.C.? Are they all afraid to make suggestions to him.....or are they all just plain stupid? Or both?

Kemp is a great low ball hitter. Tough matchup for Familia. Kemp fouled off some nasty pitches.

Just like last year. Also same as Syndergaard as a comparison. He also throws a heavy sink that induces grounders so that's pretty damn good factoring all that together. Familia came in and did his job. Got wo outs, one being a sac fly. Cant do much better than that.

Just my perception then that he seems to be in constant danger this year. Stats other than BB/9 and BABIP seem consistent. I'm out of my league with stats anyway.

is his walks are a hair higher this year but his FIP is actually lower than last year. He has a better fWAR. Of course he leading baseball in saves. He's also been much better in the second half than the first. All relievers are going to have a bad game from time to time but Familia did his job tonight.

I don't see us doing better than the Cardinals, but hopefully Giants will beat themselves next week. Also tiebreaker between the Cards and the Mets goes to St Louis, because of better division record, after an even 3-3 head to head games.

He's quickly attained Jason Bay status. At least with Bay I blame the concussion and probably PED's in Boston, but no excuse with Bruce.

Sandy for the Bruce trade. I never liked the trade, even when it was rumored because Bruce hasn't been a good player for years, but Sandy thought he'd be a power bat and didn't really give up much. With guys like Flores, Rivera, Cecchini, Herrera isn't really a big piece here.

My main concern with Bruce is that he's going to keep taking ABs for the Mets and he keep making outs and playing shitty defense because he's a bad baseball player. As long as he's not back next year, I'm more than happy to close the book on this and just pretend it never happened.
