I don't see us doing better than the Cardinals, but hopefully Giants will beat themselves next week. Also tiebreaker between the Cards and the Mets goes to St Louis, because of better division record, after an even 3-3 head to head games.

He's quickly attained Jason Bay status. At least with Bay I blame the concussion and probably PED's in Boston, but no excuse with Bruce.

Sandy for the Bruce trade. I never liked the trade, even when it was rumored because Bruce hasn't been a good player for years, but Sandy thought he'd be a power bat and didn't really give up much. With guys like Flores, Rivera, Cecchini, Herrera isn't really a big piece here.

My main concern with Bruce is that he's going to keep taking ABs for the Mets and he keep making outs and playing shitty defense because he's a bad baseball player. As long as he's not back next year, I'm more than happy to close the book on this and just pretend it never happened.

has something like a 90wRC in his last 1500 plate appearances. All this, and playing some of the worst defense in the league at a corner OF spot. Terrible.
