Evening everyone!!
Hopefully everyone enjoyed the maiden voyage of this thread this past week. I'm here once again to field all of your Fantasy Football related questions as we head into Week 3 of the season.
Needless to say, this past week has been a bit chaotic on my end. I wrapped up my final Fantasy Baseball Weekly Preview article for Fantasy Alarm (I couldn't be happier that this season is finally drawing to a close) and all of the injuries and news in the world of Football has kept me rather busy over the past few days.
Before I open up the thread for questions, here are just a few thoughts on players that I'm sure I'll receive inquiries on.
Quarterbacks
Jimmy Garoppolo (New England Patriots) - I don't expect Garoppolo to play, despite the team putting pressure on him to start. Sounds like the Pats are comfortable having Jacoby Brissett start for them against the Houston Texans tomorrow night. Expect to see a healthy dose of LeGarrette Blount.
Josh McCown (Cleveland Browns) - Consider him week-to-week with a shoulder injury. Good chance he misses multiple games. Downgrade all pass catchers for the Brownies as Cody Kessler will get the keys to the offense.
Jay Cutler (Chicago Bears) - His thumb injury is expected to cost him 2-3 weeks or so. Brian Hoyer will start. That said, I wouldn't consider anyone on this team a "safe" option. Alshon Jeffery will dominate targets, but gets downgraded to a high-end WR2 in my rankings.
Running Backs
San Diego Chargers Backfield - The loss of Woodhead for the year is a massive blow to a team that was still reeling from losing Keenan Allen. The team opted to sign Dexter McCluster, who is already familiar with Ken Whisenhunt's offense. In deeper PPR formats, I'd consider spending a small amount to obtain him.
Detroit Lions Backfield - Ameer Abdullah has been placed on IR, and will need to miss at least 8 games. Expect Dwayne Washington to step in and dominate early-down work. Despite being a bigger back he has really soft hands. I've heard that the team is incredibly high on him. Additionally, they want to keep Theo Riddick in his current role - don't expect Riddick to get more than 6-7 carries each week. He's still a pass-catching specialist.
Carolina Panthers Backfield - Stewart is expected to miss 2-3 weeks at a minimum according to Ron Rivera. Even though Fozzy Whittaker put up 100 yards last week, Cameron Artis-Payne is the back that you want to own here. Similar to Detroit, the team prefers Whittaker in a pass-catching role. That being said, Artis-Payne can't expect to carry much weekly value, as rushing attempts near the goal line will go to Cam Newton.
Minnesota Vikings Backfield - All reports have Adrian Peterson missing most of, if not all, the remainder of 2016. Jerick McKinnon is the back here that owners will want to grab. Sure, Matt Asiata will continue to spell him near the goal line or with short yardage work, but in all formats I expect McKinnon to carry mid-RB2 value (especially in PPR formats). This offensive line has taken several major hits in recent weeks, including losing left tackle Matt Kalil.
Tampa Bay Bucs Backfield - Pretty clear-cut here. Doug Martin will miss the next few weeks (if not longer) with a hamstring injury. If somehow Charles Sims isn't owned, immediately grab him. He's a midrange RB2 with upside in PPR formats. Jacquizz Rodgers being signed doesn't scare me in the least, Sims should (and will) dominate carries in the interim.
Kansas City Chiefs Backfield - Sounds like another week without Jamaal Charles. Operate the same as Week 1/2.
Wide Receivers
Corey Coleman (Cleveland Browns) - Broke his hand today during practice, so he will be sidelined for multiple weeks. No specific timetable has been announced. Until announced otherwise, I still think that he'll be back later this year, but won't carry much value in non-keeper formats.
Donte Moncrief (Indianapolis Colts) - Diagnosed with a broken collarbone today, which will keep him out for 5-6 weeks. Expect Phillip Dorsett to pick up the snaps and target share in his absence.
Who should I target?
PPR formats:
1. Charles Sims
2. Jerick McKinnon
3. Dwayne Washington
4. Cameron Artis-Payne
5. Fozzy Whittaker
6. Kenyan Drake
7. Matt Asiata
If Kenneth Dixon is still available, make sure to grab him as well - I expect him to be a large part of the Baltimore offense from the get-go.
langford
dorsett
Also, I have both Seattle defense and Minnesota defense. Coin flip?
at TE choosing between Ebron and Fleener
thanks in advance
I'd definitely start Seattle of the two - would prefer to stay away from Carolina's offense.
Stay away from Fleener - think Ebron catches a touchdown this week.
PPR 12-team league.
QB/RB1/RB2/WR1/WR2/TE/FLEX.
My team is as follows:
QB: Rodgers/Winston
RB: Jamaal Charles/Spencer Ware/Demarco Murray/Yeldon/Jordan Howard
WR: Cobb/Decker/Hurns/Sharpe
TE: Barnidge/Gates
D: Texans
K: Walsh
Two questions:
1. Would you drop any of these guys for the best available of: Quincy Enuwa (WR)/Chris Hogan (WR)/Jalen Richard (RB)
2. What position would you look to upgrade and what is your best recommendation on who to trade to do it?
FYI - I drafted Diggs late and dropped him in favor of Sharpe with the Bridgewater news :-/
langford
dorsett
3rd string QB going up against a good defense. You know they will double Gronk. Go withe Langford who will get the majority of the snaps for Chicago.

Forgot to add I have Marvin Jones as well
R. Cobb S. Watkins
T. Riddick, C. Michael, R. Jennings, T. Coleman
1. Given the state of your WRs, I'd consider trying to sell-high on Murray to acquire another mid-range WR2 to compliment things, given Cobb's struggles. Wouldn't drop anyone on your team for the players listed.
2. See above :)
It would make him fantastic if that ever happened.
Re: Drake - like him enough, but Foster will start when healthy. Think that he's catapulted Ajayi though in terms of the team's desire to get him touches. If the Dolphins keep dropping in the standings, expect to see him sooner rather than later.
Langford has looked godawful. My friend Mike Clay and I from ESPN have been down on him all year.
TE:
M. Bennett/Dwayne Allen (had Bennett on bench last week)
Defense:
Jets/Chiefs
Help me out.
WR - Watkins, assuming he starts. Think he'll be more productive this week between the two. Cobb has been an afterthought in GB's offense so far.
FLEX - Coleman - has the best chance of a TD of the players listed, and others like Riddick and Jennings lose quite a bit of value in a standard format.
Prefer the Jets of the two DST listed.
I'm pretty desperate at RB right now (lost Woodhead).. it looks like Charles is still a week or two away from returning which leaves me with Matt Jones. Bilal Powell, Chris Thompson and McCluster.
How aggressively should I bid on Washington? Is he a guy who can legitimately help my team over the next handful of weeks?
Devin Funchess
Jordan Howard
Justin Forsett
Michael Thomas
I can post my team if it helps, but none of those guys typically leave my bench, this is a keeper league, so I'd be able to keep either for an 8th round pick should I decide.

Thanks. I don't need either right now so I may pull the trigger on Dixon as I can afford to stash him for a few weeks.
I'm trying to upgrade my bench at RB this week. I'm bidding on these guys below, in this order. Not sure how much of $100 I will bid. I'm dropping James White, T. West and Hightower (cuff).
McKinnon
Ivory
Dixon
Washington
Howard
Additionally - I'm trying to upgrade at TE from a team that has Olsen and Gronk.. which of the two would you target?
Thanks!
RB- Mark Ingram is in. Then who of Latavius Murray-Tevin Coleman-Spencer Ware?
WR- Odell Beckham in. Then who of Alshon Jeffery-Michael Floyd-Jamison Crowder-Quincy Enunwa
Which of the remaining should flex?
Standard league
RB- Langford-Ajayi-Gio Bernard-Jerick McKinnon. Need two
WR-Allen Robinson and Steling Shepard in. Need one of Doug Baldwin-Michael Thomas-Nelson Algholor-Laquan Treadwell?
Thanks for doing my work for me and giving me someone to blame!
I'm pretty deep at WR, but my RBs are Melvin Gordon and Jamal Charles / Spencer Ware and Forsett ... think I need to upgrade at RB. Thoughts?
Would recommend all of the players that you mentioned. See above for order of preference.
Diggs is a legit low-end WR1 ROS. He's a freak athlete, and reminds me a lot of Allen Robinson. If you could get him for Jennings and Hurns, I'd do that.
Would target Olsen of the two, considering that they will likely ask an arm and a leg for Gronk. Gronk has a much higher ceiling of the two but injury issues will always be there. You can count on Olsen being on the field.
I'd still start Jeffery to pair with OBJ. Last player to flex would be Ingram.
2. McKinnon and Gio
Baldwin (assuming he starts).
Fingers crossed you won't have to blame me too much this year :)
If trading Snead I'd ask for more. Maybe try and lowball the Eddie Lacy owner?
I worry with Jennings thumb injury they may give more carries to Darkwa and Vereen. Coleman has been solid so far. What's your opinion?
Blount
Brandon Marshall
Charles Sims
Put Marshall in there because if he's out and it's a game time decision in screwed. He plays at 4:25. Sims plays at 4. Should I roll with Blount (no pun intended)?
Also, thoughts on Jordan Howard going forward? I fell back asleep between the time I woke up to check my waiver acquisitions and the time Abdullah was placed in IR only to find someone pick Washington up 10 minutes before I found out.
Jacob Tamme
Gary Barnidge
Martellus Bennett
Dennis Pitta
Who do you value highest.

Alright ... Thanks for the advice
Eli Manning vs. Washington
Or
Matt Ryan vs the Saints?
Thanks!!!!!!
Much appreciated.
Brees
Miller
Latavius Murray
Green
Alshon
Marvin Jones
Crowell (flex)
Kelce
Bench
Charles
Ware
Shepard
Crabtree
Eifert
Cruz
1. Would you make any changes to the starters? I'm debating Ware over Crowell or Murray.
2. Is Cruz worth a roster spot? I feel good about my RBs but should I consider picking up duke Johnson (dropped today), Asiata, or Kenneth Dixon if so which one? Tajae sharpe is also available.
3. Dwayne Washington
4. Cameron Artis-Payne
5. Fozzy Whittaker
I took Fozzy Whittaker, but Payne and Washington are FAs in my league. You're telling me these are better prospects? What is your reasoning? Why should I jump on Washington over Whittaker?
No onto my main question:
Rank these defenses on which to start this week: Dallas, Giants, Miami. I grabbed Miami off waivers liking that matchup against the mistake on the lake, aka the Browns. Dallas and Giants are still available though. Thanks!
