NFT: Help needed for Google Chrome

I'm switching to Chrome from Firefox and I don't see a Search box where I can enter a query. Googling hasn't provided an answer. Perhaps you know of one.

Also, I've tried numerous popup blockers: Chrome's own blocker as well as various adware blockers but to no avail. I'd like to stop these ads including those on BBI (sorry Eric). I appreciate your help. Thanks

You can select your default search provider in Settings

For chrome

you can use AdBlock extension and to stop tracking Ghostery extension

That works fine. What do you use for a popup blocker?

I use uBlock Origin for chrome

But most of the time do not have it on...Keep in mind that I believe Eric gets paid on views and click thru's. It supports the site.

I most likely will never click one of those ads so it's irrelevant whether I block them or not.

on the window slider on the right side - forcing me to click and page down a page at a time, or click and hold the slider to move down ... I hate reading that way ... thus Chrome is a complete waste of my time.

Wow. Just tried it and I'll be damned. I now have an arrow at the bottom of the slider. Thanks Jim!
