And kept us in contention until we got healthy and then to eh World Series.
He's lost almost his whole pitching staff, first baseman, third baseman, picks up a clunker in Bruce and still we're in contention.
The criticism is about Terry it's about the critics. Part timers who NEED to know more than the experts.
You can nit pick any mgrs decisions, but both Collins and Girardi have
done terrific jobs this year. The Mets have only 2 starting pitchers left from opening day, and 1 of them wasn't even supposed to be in the rotation by now (Colon was supposed to give way to Wheeler), lost their starting 1b and 3B for basically the whole season, their 2B for the final 2 months, lost Lagares for the year, Conforto had a terrible sophomore jinx, Cabrera and Cespedes were both on the DL, they traded for a stiff who can't play here and Collins still kept them focused and in contention.
and I left out that d'Arnaud has been a disaster at bat and behind the
people give the manager credit for W/Ls, as if the players wouldn't play hard for someone else, without bothering to analyze the individual moves that the manager makes.
Good shit spike! I had won in the past, but I thought registering now was just so they can have your email address to spam the shit out of your inbox with emails to buy season tickets.

Sports is still is a bottom line business and the bottom line is wins and losses. So while sure he does some head scratching moves during some games some of them end up working and he also clearly pushes some right buttons and has the team winning despite losing most of his staff and many of his best position players for some or most of the season. Silly to not give him credit for that regardless whether you like him or not.
him some credit for overall performance but there's posters here who just come here after games to call out posters who criticize managerial decisions. Part of a game thread is an ongoing conversation about the game and that's going to include real time takes on the manager's decisions. Why wouldn't it? Are people supposed to just not offer thoughts on managerial decisions during Mets' threads?
And still defends Terry - I truly don't know what to say...
+1
He's always been bad at managing the pen, but Wednesday night was ridiculous, even forhim. And it had a ripple effect - Familia was forced to throw a ton of pitches, then Terry thought it would be a good idea to try and get 2 innings out of him the very next day. Fortunately Cabrera bailed TC out.
And for the love of everything holy, TC - don't use Bruce in any key spots. Ever. Unless you want someone to K instead of hitting into a DP (even then, I'd send up a pitcher to hit instead of Bruce)...
Lol...
Another killer blooper
That's because he has no fucking idea how to manage a pen
Henderson and Montero were available
Absolutely tonight. Duda's almost HR and the bloop RBI single for them
Well, guess I spoke too soon!
All the Mets have the dye their hair blonde now
Bat flip of the year imo
If we're not facing a lefty, I'd start Nimmo tomorrow.
More NiMmo More Comforto!
Grandy going back to cleanup. Need Flores and Duda to return to line up

I hope you get to use them.
