The Mets have only 2 starting pitchers left from opening day, and 1 of them wasn't even supposed to be in the rotation by now (Colon was supposed to give way to Wheeler), lost their starting 1b and 3B for basically the whole season, their 2B for the final 2 months, lost Lagares for the year, Conforto had a terrible sophomore jinx, Cabrera and Cespedes were both on the DL, they traded for a stiff who can't play here and Collins still kept them focused and in contention.
