Picked one up post-dot com collapse. Has held up extremely well. They're not cheap, though, not sure if I'd pony up full boat on what they're asking these days.
the Aeron and the Leap. I liked the Leap a lot better. When it comes to comfort though I think that's gotta be a personal preference. They're both great chairs.
which is really a table, but for crafts, not computer. But I can see how it would be great for a desk. It adjusts to from about 2 feet to 5 feet. It's electric. Yeah, it cost a lot, but when I saw it, I had to have it. I also bought a stool that is also adjustable. Both from Ikea.
For a regular office chair, you can't beat the Herman Miller chairs. I bought one for my husband a few years ago. I forget which one. Again, expensive, but worth it.
I headed and evaluation of Herman Miller Aeron versus Embody chairs for a client. Both were well liked. Aeron was preferred buy people who slumped. Lots of designers who had many screens and kept key board on their laps liked them. Embody chairs were preferred by people sitting upright and everyone who had preexisting back and neck issues.

It looks nice, but there's no way I'm dropping over $1K on a desk chair.
so I struggled with some expensive chairs initially that were just uncomfortable.
I got this one at Office Max for $250 and it's been great for 3 years though it's probably 6 - 12 months away from being replaced with the same chair. It's a Serta.
about 10 years ago. It has held up well except for a split in the vinyl on one of the arm rests. It has a lot of adjustments.
I actually got it at Costco for $500, but I only saw them that one time. (I've bought some other office chairs from costco, but they didn't hold up very well.)

2nd Steelcase Leap.
3rd is either Steelcase Think or Amia.
Best non-Steelcase humanscale freedom with headrest.
