Rashad Jennings (thumb) + Olivier Vernon (wrist) NOT listed on #Giants injury report. Good to go.
Jennings would've been limited today.
We're not that deep at DT and here's a guy that we picked up off of waivers who hasn't played or practiced in three weeks because of a mystery illness. Even when he's healthy, several weeks of being sick takes a toll on the body. I'm sure he's dropped weight and may not be in the best of shape now.
I wonder how much longer until we start considering other options.
would be inclined to deactivate Jennings. We had three turnovers last Sunday, and he has a bad thumb. The Redskins will be ripping at the ball every time he carries it, especially after initial contact. Darkwa and Vereen can carry the "Duke" this week.
what kind of thought process is that. You don't know the extent of his thumb issue. He's a right handed ball carrier. Do you even know if it's the right hand as opposed to the left? If he couldn't properly secure the duke he wouldn't be playing. He's our best back and we need his toughness in there. But, I do want to see darkwa play and get some touches but it seems like he's relegated to the bench as long as Jennings is healthy. Darkwa is Jennings backup and Rainey is most likely the backup to vereen

Thomas is the 5th DT and the DEs (Owa and Okwara mainly) have been taking a lot of snaps at DT anyway.
Considering half the board hasn't even heard of the guy and have talked more about Joe Thomas, if him being out is the major point of worry, we've come a long way in the past year.

I'm a little worried about him just because he's been sick all season. Hopefully he doesn't have some dread disease(or one that is slowly contagious!).

If they had concerns about his thumb he'd be on the injured list. Darkwa CANNOT BLOCK
Jennings questionable; but still expected to play:

Giants updated their injury report and put RB Rashad Jennings as questionable. Expectation remains he'll play with small cast on left thumb.

LOL, very true but it's just weird to pick up a guy from another team who hasn't been able to even practice because of an "illness". Is it contagious? What are his chances of getting healthy?
With Newhouse. Really hoping Hart can be the one that takes it too. He is young and would be great to see a 7th rounder succeed here and solidify that RT spot. Being an FSU fan, I am a little biased too in wanting him to take the spot.

That's what they did in weeks 1 & 2. Will Beatty was inactive.
I think it was in response to Newhouse...

aren't on the injury report. People don't even read before they make a stupid post about panicking. Typical.

I guess, but Vernon and Jennings being able to play and not being on the report is a pretty good balance, at least I would say..
It certainly appears that way.
I would say so.

In admittedly limited time last season and against the Saints, I have yet to see Hart be as much of a liability as Newhouse has been.

Why? He's a below average RT.

I'd rather play Beatty than either Hart or Newhouse.
Hart = Lou Gehrig
Yeah, not so much...
