I'm told S Darian Thompson has a visit scheduled with Dr. Robert Anderson in North Carolina for further evaluation early next week.
I would think they could schedule it for tomorrow morning.
When your foot is swollen, it makes it difficult to diagnose. Not saying that's the case, but I really don't think they are just waiting around for someone to cancel their appointment.

Also need the swelling to recede before performing some tests.
Giants could schedule a lot of foot doctors tomorrow a.m.
Honestly Stan, none at the moment. It can be a host of things, most of which are not serious. I can usually render a GENERAL opinion based on similar type conditions, but it needs to be narrowed down some more. They've given us nothing, beyond it's swollen and he's not playing Sunday..Some reports say it's "nothing serious." Still very little to go on.
Same doc as Ameer Abdullah. Could be bad news on the way..
Yup this Dr only gives bad news. Book it. Send him to a different Doctor Jerry! Asleep at the wheel as per usual.
This is what I read that led me to making my comment:
Ameer Abdullah (foot) will head to North Carolina Tuesday to meet with Dr. Robert Anderson.
Anderson is probably the most well-known foot specialist in the field of sports medicine. If Abdullah's left foot injury is severe enough to require his assistance, it's probably not a good sign.

The common symptoms of a Lisfranc injury are swelling and pain on the top of the foot. Bruising is common, and bruising on the bottom of the foot is a clue that this injury has occurred. With a severe injury, the foot may be distorted and putting any weight on it may be very painful. With a mild injury, the foot may appear normal and you may be able to put weight on it with only mild pain." Lis Franc - ( New Window )
ill wait for the visit and report but really sounds horrible. not feeling good. he will prob go to IR if anything remotely serious smh
You are shaking your head at an outcome that you have decided upon. Relax.
not really..just a little nervous. i mean it seems the writing is on the wall. it has been something you grow accustomed to if youre a giants fan. again not losing sleep over it but his loss would suck

It'll be interesting to see if he lives through the end of the week.

They are definitely waiting so they can save money. Jesus fuck.
I think we should start a Go Fund Me Page..."Send Darian to NC TODAY to get him the medical care he so desperately needs." I'll work on setting that up, in the meantime everyone can send their contributions directly to my paypal account
Their just wasting time with all of these fancy consults
Get him in and just put on a bionic foot, or if the Giants coupon for that expired, how about a horse hoof? My uncle had that done and he was back at work in 3 weeks.
Does this guy just not want to play?
I'm still waiting for everyone on BBI who's ever hurt their foot
last visit to the foot doctor, he told me that I have flat feet, cut off my calluses, and gave me an insert for my shoe. I hope that helps everyone understand what's happening with DT...

I bruised my foot once, and had to take two weeks off from running. And I'm a quick healer, so I doubt we'll see Thompson back before November

Also, he said he was told it was "minor".
