- According to Adam Rubin, Noah Syndergaard has been scratched from Saturday's start. Has strep throat. Sean Gilmartin will start. (You can't make this shit up. )
- Terry Collins said the hope is that Noah Syndergaard can be slotted back into the rotation Monday or Tuesday -- not miss a full turn. Of course, that disrupts Syndergaard being lined up for the Oct. 5 wild-card game. Collins noted that the Mets need to qualify for the postseason first. "Right now, in our situation, we can't worry about Oct. 5," Collins said. Collins added that if the Mets are fortunate to clinch before the final series in Philadelphia, Syndergaard or Bartolo Colon can be held back for the wild-card game.
And G-d forbid they have a 12-1 blowout and let guys like Verrett pitch stress-free

Terry has to stop using guys for one out in the 6th and 7th. You burn out everyone that way.

And don't figure to get much rest today or tomorrow, between Ynoa and Gilmartin.

+1
He's like a 4 year old on Christmas Day. All these new toys to play with! Play with one for 2 minutes, toss it aside. Then another, toss it aside....
Per Gary Cohen on tonight's pregame
You got it! Mike is back! I like that he and Nimmo are always together learning. Just don't get the strep from Syndergaard
Seriously?
Damn it Smoker
So Collins continued to play a horrid Bruce way too long while keeping raging hot Conforto glued to the bench until he FINALLY benches the bum and now he deserves credit because Conforto is hitting? Come on, man. We were starved for offense but he just couldn't help but keep trotting out Bruce. No, he doesn't get credit.
It's maddening.
Now, he is going to wind up using three pitchers in the inning and most likely give up the lead anyway
Watch Robles walk in a run
So that's been his master plan all along, huh? Definitely outsmarted everyone else then.
Phew. Joseph hit it hard too and was out by ten steps at first base
I assume Blevins is going ninth

Even worse - no double switch so Robles is due up 4th
Lol...

In a surprise move, Terry is going to bring out Jay Bruce to pitch the 8th.

Just leave Goeddel in.

Oops - 6th. Never mind...
Big insurance runs.
