After being disappointed with The Good Place and Kevin Can Wait, I've seen a few good ones, imo. Lethal Weapon had real good chemistry between the guys. The guy who played
Riggs reminded me a lot of Timothy Oliphant in Justified. You've got to suspend disbelief some, like in all action shows, but it was good fun. Also liked Designated Survivor. Keifer is somewhere between Jack Bauer and the dad he played with the autistic child, very understated, but with a tough side. Bull was at least ok, I'll stick with it a while. With Michael Weatherly gone, I like the new cast additions to NCIS. The lady seems to be taking on a lot of Weatherly's smart-ass persona, which I like.
The commercials made it look kind of soap operaish. Is it, what's it about? Just in general no spoilers like OP requested.
Weatherly's new show didn't seem horrible so I'll watch it for the one season I think it will be on.
I have always liked Jennifer Esposito so I'll keep up,with ncis. I've watched it for forever.
Atlanta is fantastic. Such a great premise and enough comedy mixed in with a still serious plot. Love it.
Designated Survivor - another eh. Very very predictable as someone else mentioned but I don't see how they keep the story going.
Speechless - it's the show about the family with a kid that uses a computer to talk. This was a clever show that has a lot of promise to me. I will definitely watch it again.
The Good Place - Ted Danson and Kristen Bell (who looks great). I only watched about 20 minutes of the hour show but I really liked it. Nice twist to it and it was funny.
My two cents
Luke Cage next week.
I like the 2 new shows on FX, Atlanta and Better Things. Really looking forward to Luke Cage, Westerworld and Shameless.
+1
I thought it was really good, too. It was solid enough as a stand alone episode that I'm a little worried about where they'll go with it.
I went in with the same attitude as you, but it definitely seems like a good one to watch with the wife where we'll both actually be into it (as opposed to most shows we watch "together" when one of us is paying more attention to their phone).
Same here.
It's about a woman who becomes a starting pitcher for the San Diego Padres!
I'm all for gender equality but the premise of this show defies human anatomy and physiology. There isn't a woman on the planet who has the physical makeup to pitch in the majors.

To piggyback on your post, if by some physiological miracle there is a woman who can throw a baseball in the low 90s she probably ain't gonna look like the star of that snow, either. Odds are she would resemble the love child Randy Johnson and a Russian gymnast. With Rollie Fingers 'stache just for good measure.
"Lethal Weapon" was good enough that I set my DVR to record all of the future shows.
I DVR'd the pilot show of "Notorious", but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Mainly because I have the hots for Piper Perabo who stars in it and the drama (from the trailer) looks interesting.
Of course, some of the old standbys are starting back up so I can't follow everything. I have to keep up with "Blacklist" and "Gotham".
I guess I have to wait until next year to watch my all time favorites like "Archer" season 8 (probably March), and "Fargo" season 3 - don't know when it will start, but very I'm anxious to watch it. If any of you have not seen "Fargo" the TV series, it's a must watch show. Better than "Breaking Bad".
Hard to keep up with everything with so many games going on and I always prefer live sports to TV shows. DVR's are the cat's ass!
Actually, it wasn't bad. I'll probably tune in again next week.
