Lets talk injuries. These are some players that could/will miss week three:

Brandon Marshall
Antonio Gates
Willie Snead
Danny Woodhead
Adrian Peterson
Keenan Allen
Pats QBs
Browns QBs
Corey Coleman
Ameer Abdullah
Davante Parker
Arian Foster
Jay Cutler
Sammy Watkins
Donte Moncrief
Delanie Walker
Kendall Wright
Doug Martin
Jonathan Stewart
Thomas Rawls
Prosise

That is a crazy amount of productive fantasy players. What backups do you like this week?

I would take a shot on Hunter Henry with Gates out.

I like Christine Michael to get a heavy workload.

Enunwa could be in for a big day. Michael Thomas or Brandon Coleman could see a spike in playing time.

Melvin Gordon is almost a must-start this week.

I am curious to see what Dwayne Washington can do although Riddick's value increases a ton.

Sims should have a decent game.

What backups do you not like this week?

I do not like McKinnon nor Asiata but in a TD heavy league I would take a flier on Asiata.

I do not like any of the Panthers' backup RBs. Too many people. Artis-Pain, Whittaker, and Tolbert along with Cam stealing rushes.

I am staying away from anything Cleveland right now.

I am staying away from Miami's RBs right now.

I am staying away from the Bears right now with Hoyer.

I don't know who would step up if Watkins is out but I am not crazy about that passing attack.

The Titans have a great matchup this week but I think they pound the ball. I will probably start Sharpe in my leagues but he was already a starter. I do not like Andre Johnson to put up big stats or whoever else is playing.

What do you think?

I REALLY like Travis Benjamin. Not only because Keenan Allen is gone but also because Woodhead is too and he was also a target in the passing game. I think more balls will be headed to Benjamin who is not owned in a lot of leagues.

I am also not a fan of really any of the backup RBs with the exception of Ware a this point. Those backups may be interesting and cheap in daily fantasy but for season long I am not going there. Sticking to my original roster and the plan.

I am first on the waiver list in one of my leagues and I am not giving that up until I see a real deal come along. Example would be if Forte goes down then I am all over Powell.
In looking back at your original post again..
EricJ : 9/24/2016 7:27 am : link
you were really talking about backup RBs and I threw Benjamin out there. Sorry....
I think Sims would be my backup RB this week if I had to choose one simply because he will get the majority of the touches and has been effective already in his #2 role.
I am taking a shot on Hunter Henry this week
knicks3031 : 9/24/2016 7:33 am : link
and I picked up Jordan Howard as a FA just to stash on the bench in case Howard takes over for Langford. It could be used as trade bait for the Langford owner.

I agree on Travis Benjamin. He was a monster last week, but Tyrell Williams has also has the same number of targets as Benjamin so far. I am rostering Williams in two of my leagues.

Two questions - who do you like for the rest of the season? Dwayne Allen or EBron? I read Allen might see more opportunities with Moncreif out, but Ebron has been solid. Thoughts?

Second - I have Freeman and Coleman in one of my leagues, along with Lacy and Melvin Gordon. I'm not trading Gordon, but if you were going to trade one of the other 3 who do you like least out of Freeman, Coleman and Lacy?

I agree with everything you wrote. I was focusing more on players that were not really starters. I did mention Sharpe and I think he fits the category as T. Benjamin. Benjamin and Williams should both have nice games. I did mention Melvin Gordon and he was most likely owned in almost every league but Woodhead was getting more snaps than him. The Chargers have a lot of upside with those players.

I also am number one on the waiver list and number 2 on another. The one I am number 2 on I wanted to pick up a player or w but didn't want to waste the position I am in. Pitta was available and I wanted to pick him up but I am gonna let Ertz and Ebron ride it out right now. I did really well in that draft. I am 1-1 but I hit on some WRs later in the draft. That team is:

Brady/Dalton
Bell/D. Williams/Elliot/Morris/Jennings
D. Thomas/Cobb/Benjamin/Fuller/Sharpe/Gordon
Ertz/Ebron
Walsh
Giants

I would like another RB but overall I love my team. Cobb doesn't even start for me.
Sims is apparently getting
UConn4523 : 9/24/2016 7:34 am : link
everyone he can handle. He's my #1 backup RB this week.

I would trade Freeman but I don't know what you would get back. You can see how much the staff really likes Coleman. He isn't disappointing either so I would hold on to him. I like that they are throwing him quick screens to get the ball in his hands to utilize his speed. He wasn't considered a great pass catcher so if he keeps racking up the catches that will be huge.
I actually lucked out
robbieballs2003 : 9/24/2016 7:43 am : link
I had Cam, DJ, Freeman, D. Thomas, and Nelson on my roster last year. You can keep up to 4 players. I was gonna let D. Thomas go but I was able to trade Freeman to improve my draft position. I traded Freeman and my 6th round pick (the first four rounds are keepers) for an owner's 5th round pick.

I don't want two TEs on my team but with the two you have I can see why...Ertz hurt etc

I drafted Cobb in one league and he is on my bench too. What a waste...just unreal. I thought he may do better this year with Jordy back so I took a shot. I could have drafted someone else who easily could have eclipsed his production at this point...like Kelvin Benjamin
Robbie that is a solid team
knicks3031 : 9/24/2016 7:53 am : link
I might try to trade Devonta + a WR to a team that has Olsen and Gronk. This is my team in the league:

It's a 3 WR, .5 ppr league with a flex.

Rivers/BRady
AJG, Jordy, Maclin, Cruz, T. Williams, J Gordon
M Gordon, Deangelo, Lacy, Devonta, Coleman
Walford (drafted ertz but he got hurt)

The kid with Olsen and Gronk is starting Lockett, Vjax, and John Brown at WR, with McCoy and Christine Michael at RB. His team overall is just not very good.

If Tyrell has a good week I might be able to do Devonta and Tyrell for one of his TEs.
Definitely go after one of those TEs
robbieballs2003 : 9/24/2016 7:58 am : link
Maybe he is more likely to give up Gronk because he is not 100% healthy and hasn't done much without Brady so far.
Buying low...
EricJ : 9/24/2016 8:26 am : link
what do you guys think about trading for these guys whose value is a bit lower due to production so far?

Gurley
Dez
Baldwin
Demaryus

In my league the Gurley and Dez owners are not panicking. Dez just had a decent game so it's gonna take a bit to scare his owners IMO. I'd be more wary of Gurley cuz the Rams are ass.

I think Baldwin is a buy low candidate. I can't imagine the Hawks being this bad the whole year.

Not so sure about Dtom. His value in the past came from getting the ball downfield. Siemian simply doesn't throw the ball more than like 15 yards at farthest and it's probably the most run heavy offense in the NFL. If you can get him dirt cheap I'd make a move but it doesn't look like he's going to have anything like those 1300 yard 10 TD seasons this year.
Really need a win this week
beatrixkiddo : 9/24/2016 9:26 am : link
Would you start Stafford against GB or Rivers against the Colts? I am leaning Rivers but he just keeps losing all of his weapons. The colts have the most depleted secondary however. It's a tough call.

I'd go Rivers still. But I don't want to be the one responsible if you lose lol.
for my RB2 this week...

Bernard, Ware, or Duke Johnson.

Leaning Bernard, although not expecting much.

Sure beats the bs I'll be starting in one league.
Asiata and sproles or forsett. Injuries have left me decimated
Who should I start at Flex?

Decker or Ware?

Thanks!

The Colts have the worst pass def in the league while the Pack is one of the better. Rivers over Stafford is a no brainier.

I think despite the tough matchup, you have to go Ware with Charles still out.
OK
Cruzin : 9/24/2016 10:57 pm : link

I usually don't comment on these threads but let me make a few obvious statements that some of you seem to be missing.

First of all, no one gives a shit about your fantasy team, they give even less of a shit if you fail to post roster sizes, scoring and number of teams in your league. If you are in a 10 team league you can field a roster off the free agent list and still make the playoffs. Possible trades are impossible to evaluate without this info as well as both rosters involved. The banter helps somewhat to feel out what the public thought is but for the most part you have to make your own decisions. Just sayin'.

Now, Melvin Gordon is now a stud, the only RB better than Gordon, potentially at this point is L'Von Bell. D Williams is still a must start this week but Philly has a better D than has been advertised. Wentz is a good QB but his receivers suck, Sproles is a good play in PPR. Pitt has trouble stopping the passes to the RB out of the backfield. They are stellar against the run however making Matthews a tough play this week.

Minny against Carolina? Why bother? Carolina against Minny? Why bother? Could be a 12-10 game. The 2 best Ds besides Denver. Great for us old school guys.

Julio Jones against NO, pencil him in n as #1 for the week. Telling Coleman is your PPR sleeper. He's a better draft pick than Freeman value wise and could easily out score him from here on out, trade Freeman for what you can get.

Buy low on Randall Cobb, Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL and he will get Cobb involved.

Buy low on Allen Robinson, he dropped several targets in week 1 , Bortles didn't trust him in week 2, Jax will need him to be successful. He can be had for a RB if someone wasted a 3rd rd pick on him. Charles, Lacy, maybe even Riddick in PPR, although I might not do Riddick for Robinson in PPR. Dump Lacy if you can.

Gio is greater than Jeremy in all formats.

Need a TE this week ? Jacob Tamme against NO on Monday night. Colby Fleener is garbage until he can comprehend the playbook, best waiver wire pickup for the week in PPR at TE.

Roto Wizard pretty much covered the offense, I'm in 2 , 14 team leagues with 8 ind D players, I could use some insight on GB's use of Blake Martinez in the middle as opposed to Kiko Alonso against Cleveland with no QB. Lil' help?

Even more helpful
Cruzin : 9/24/2016 11:15 pm : link

would be a true injury update on Koa Misi. I get the Q tag but no info. Fred? Anybody down south have any insight? Thanks in advance.
I have Christine Michaels
giantgiantfan : 9/25/2016 1:03 am : link
and would like to start him, but Gordon is producing and I am believing in Gurley this week. My flex spot goes to WRs as its PPR and I have Amari Cooper, Mike Evans, Allen Robinson, and Travis Benjamin. I'm actually benching Robinson in favor of Benjamin this week.

Someone actually was dumb enough to drop Gates and I had nothing at TE so I had to drop Hurns to nab him. I need a big week I have scored the least amount of points in the league and had the least scored on me. Only reason I am 2-0. I'm a joke right now, I'd like my team to put 130+ this week.

Rivers. Gordon can catch the ball and Benjamin just put up monster numbers. Colts defense is tragic. Stafford had a 25 point week against the Colts. I doubt he does that in Green Bay, but I bet Rivers hits a similar number.
