But he missed all of 2015, and had surgeries to repair a torn pec and a torn rotator cuff. We have no idea what to expect from him in 2016.

it's impossible for fans to assess the adjustment factor in switching to the right side for a tackle who has only played LT for his career. For example, Hart--and we don't know what we have in his upside, downside, or baseline yet--looked dreadful in Exh season on the left side, much better (so far) on the right (thanks cnewk), and in theory he's a young dog who can learn new tricks faster vs. older dog WB.

Having missed most of the past two years, he's going to have a lot of rust, and his muscle memory is all going to be kick step, slide step, punch toward left. He's having to learn a new position, new positioning and quick muscle actions. It may not be rocket science, but it likely not that you don't forget how to ride a bike.

He was injured before camp. He hasn't played in more than a year and is coming off of two injuries to the same side of the upper body. We truly have no clue where he's at. Also, he knew the offense from McAdoo's first year with different coaches.

There's been no official announcement issued by the team although the Daily News is reporting that McAdoo stated in his Friday presser that Hart would get the start with the possibility of Beatty rotating in. Lemme try to translate that:

"Hart has been here through the offseason and we're still not sure where Beatty is at. But Kerrigan is a load and we won't hesitate to switch things up if it becomes an issue."

He did not mention who would start, or even give a nod to either guy, and the part about possibly rotating he only said anything is possible.

I expect Bobby Hart will start. I would be surprised if he did not. But Ben didn't say one way or the other.
