Why isn't William Beatty getting playing time this weekend? He is much better tackle then Newhouse and Hart! he knows the offense and was looking pretty good before his injury that ended his season last year. I cant remember if he was activated for the first two games or not in football shape? I think it is time to give Beatty a shot to start this weekend!! Just saying!!
I like that idea.
Having missed most of the past two years, he's going to have a lot of rust, and his muscle memory is all going to be kick step, slide step, punch toward left. He's having to learn a new position, new positioning and quick muscle actions. It may not be rocket science, but it likely not that you don't forget how to ride a bike.

With Jones lined up as the FB. Now *thats* a beefy, short yardage set. You're literally talking at least a ton between your line, TE, and FB...
There's been no official announcement issued by the team although the Daily News is reporting that McAdoo stated in his Friday presser that Hart would get the start with the possibility of Beatty rotating in. Lemme try to translate that:
"Hart has been here through the offseason and we're still not sure where Beatty is at. But Kerrigan is a load and we won't hesitate to switch things up if it becomes an issue."
Hart to start, leash is short - ( New Window )

Agreed.
Q: With Marshall Newhouse out, do you know who you are going to go with?
A: Yeah, we have a couple options.
Q: What have you seen from those options this week?
A: Had a good week of preparation, get ready for launch day tomorrow and kickoff is on Sunday.
Q: Would you consider a rotation at right tackle?
A: Anything is a possibility.
That's "Coach McAdoo" to you, pally.
