Lots of Beat downs going on right now. UGA getting whooped by Ole' Miss, Wisconsin handling MSU, VT continuing to dominate against ECU, and FSU is demoliting SFU.
Does not fire Kelly after this season then you can give up on them. What is really amazing is there are people here who actually wanted the Giants to hire this misfit for the head coaching job, imagine the moron who would fire Coughlin, to hire this garbage. Notre Dame is happy now the way it is because they get treated like a top program when they are not, and have the best TV deal in the nation.
but I hate Kelly. The real gem on staff is Sanford, and I hope the plan is to hire him as HC. ND has some elite level talent, but not enough to compete with SEC powerhouses.

Nonsense they have quality players and a 2nd rate coaching staff. If you say they are not a top program because of the coaching, I will agree. But talent wise, they are a top team.
but not all that surprised considering they have by far thebworst coordinator in football coaching the defense. If this gane gets BVG fired it will be a blessing in disguise.
Just got back to my hotel from Tennessee game. My first trip to Rocky Top. What an atmosphere. I
Exiled, with all due respect to Va Tech, Clemson has .....

Congrats, you picked a great game to go to. I have been many times and the atmosphere is one of college football's best. Go Vols/ Go Giants !
I really don't know what to say. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year. I can tell you the way I thought this season would play out.
Lose to LSU, Lose to MSU, UM, OSU, probably beat Iowa and Nebraska, but lose to Northwestern on some bullshit, go to a mediocre bowl, but that would have been okay because we're the 5th youngest team in FBS with a new DC and only the 2nd year under Chryst.
But holy fucking shit.
This defense is the truth. The best LB corps in football right now, a DL that's tough to run against, and a DB unit that has proven to be more than competent despite losing 3/4 guys last year. Either A. It wasn't all Aranda as we thought it was, or B. Wilcox is just as good. Either way I'll absolutely take it.
On offense, the best is still yet to come. We're starting 4 sophomores on OL (the 5th is Ramczyk, who as Anak mentioned, will be a Day 1 or 2 guy in the draft)., a RS frosh at QB, and our RB corps is a walking infirmary unit. But they (with the help of some great field position) just dropped 30 on a very tough MSU defense.
I think we're due for a letdown, so I could see them dropping the next two games, but that's okay. We've not only positioned ourselves very well this year, but the future is very very bright, and I couldn't be more excited.
I hope Wisconsin wins and wins big (unlikely). Wisconsin has a good team this year.
Louisville vs Clemson will be great to watch.
Maybe Richt can help Miami finally beat FSU as well (again unlikely).
Notre Dame might be a big draw to the older crowd but I could see in the next ten years where they are no longer the cowboys of college football. Kids growing up today or in college recently are Ohio State fans, Alabama fans, etc... The Notre Dame bandwagon won't be refilled since they haven't been a dominant team in a while.
Why I don't see people's jaws dropping over Lamar Jackson on here very much.
He is amazing. Pretty much as electrifying as anyone I've ever watched in college football, all that he needs to stamp a statement like that is more time doing what he's doing. I don't know about him in the NFL because he is built a lot more like a receiver than a QB (I remember having similar concerns about rg3), but he is incredible at this level

What Wisc is doing is amazing. We are going to have to rely on Speight making some throws. Really worried about that.
This feels Weis-like.
He's got a 6 year contract. The buyout on it has to be crazy
38-21

Since MSU beat ND and the Badgers beat MSU, I assume you'll be pulling fo the Badgers ;)

On Wisconsin.
Instant replay is wrong more times it is right.
Thanks man

You deserve to lose Shaw.
They are starting too, next week will be his heisman moment. A big game and a win next week, he all but clinches it.
what a fucking cover!!!!!
I was at tonight's game. The kid is unreal. Can throw a laser but also has great touch on deep floaters. Can stop on a dime too. Just incredible.
Quote:
Had a sick 55 yard TD run. He might be a Heisman Candidate.
Typical Hokie delusions of grandeur.
Congrats on holding off Central Michigan today for the first win under your new coaching staff.
Lamar Jackson is legit. He is going to win the Heisman. Only way he doesn't is if he gets hurt before the years end.
Patrenio sure knows how to coach QBs. Kid is smart to go there and learn the game from him.
Eat a bag of shit in that one, eh? UT Vols are better than you think...
