The Giants lack a killer instinct and have for a long time

AnnapolisMike : 9/25/2016 6:14 pm
Up 21-9...they had a chance to pin their collective ears back and put away a game early. A chance to bury a division opponent. Each season there is a game you can look back on and say...that game changed the course of the season. We may have just seen it for the 2016 NY Giants.

The Giants will be probably be underdogs in each of the next three games against Minny, GB and Baltimore. Maybe they can win one...and beat the Rams to hit the bye at 4-3. But this was a golden opportunity...and they did what they usually have done the past 4 years...give it away.

I hope your wrong but can't argue with the thought. Giants let

them off the mat for sure.
Why does the defense

Get pass on this game. Where was the pressure defense.
its sad, but true.

this game should've *easily* been won by 14+...same with last week's.

there's also a reason this team lost 5 games when leading with under 2 min to go last year.

we can't finish anyone off and thus all are games come down to the wire and for all intents and purposes, a coin flip. we were unlucky on the coin flip last year and this year we're 2-1.

this team has the ability to not come down to coin flips, but for some reason we can't just step on the throat.

The defense was shaky too....Penalties and Turnovers sealed their fate.
And the Eagles go up 27-3.

And into a tie for second place we go.
I couldn't agree more.....

BB has always been criticized for piling on.....but it gives his offense the killer instinct, this Giant team does not have...

How many "laughers" have we seen over the last 13 years? They are few and far between....
It was at 14-3 when we let up on them

We decided to go into a "play not to lose" mode until they tied us up, then we started to press and force plays to keep up. If we had stuck with the play calls that led us to a 11 point lead we most likely go u 21-3 and the game has a whole different context to it.

That Punt Block call at midfield was a real head scratcher also, our coaching staff did not do the players any favors today
I agree

I feel like the coaching staff fails to get aggressive in its play calling, especially in situation when they can put the dagger in.
This Giants team

is better than the last 2 seasons. You can't say they are dogs against the Vikings or Packers, and you can't say they should beat the Rams. The Giants play to their competition, and they are better this year, so they can play to their competition at a higher level (and lose in a more painful fashion).

This game came down to Tye not continuing on his route, and Eli throwing a ball when he shouldn't have at the end, or he should have seen the LB/S coming under Vereen and thrown it up high. In other words, Eli being Eli.
It is what it is. Not worried. The Giants will compete for the division or a wild card, and they will have some great wins and some ridiculous losses. I'm ready for it.

maybe it's not on the coaches...but don't dare agree with me or you'll get shit on by the BBI Bullies.
sad but true on ability to put away

or really take charge with key opportunities. Last several seasons.

We'll see if washington is now contending or winning the division at end of year and turn to this as turning point in their season.

If Giants didn't play sloppy, and tons of mistakes (seemingly consistant these years) and etc..they would've taken advantage today.
This game reminds of so many Fassel games

Win or lose by a couple of points, no killer instinct. Funny, how then too I'd look at the Eagles with jealousy of their killer instinct. It's like 2002 all over again.

When we are marching down the field most of the time after a TO the next play is a terrible play. Eli does much better when he is just calling the plays at the line he just seems less frantic. Maybe he just does not have time to try too many plays thru his head and just play the game. Hate to say this but our offense is much better when just attacking then planning plays.
