LB Jonathan Casillas

Postgame vs. Washington, September 25, 2016

Q: How tight was the officiating?

A: I believe it was tightly officiated, but that is something that I don’t pay attention to at all.

Q: Was there anything that stuck out to you though?

A: No, not really.

Q: You guys walked out of the locker room feeling good the last couple weeks. What is the mood of this team right now?

A: I hate losing. The only thing that made me smile so far was seeing my daughter after the game, but besides that, I hate losing. This is something that I never get used to and I believe that I speak for a lot of people in this locker room, so last week you saw a lot of smiling faces. I am pretty sure that today you didn’t see too many.

Q: Did Kirk Cousins do anything in particular today?

A: He played a lot better today. I felt like he was more comfortable in the pocket. We pressured him. We got to him a couple times and I think he made some good throws. He had a good year last year. People want to count people out after a couple games, but he is a good quarterback and they are a good team. They are the NFC East defending champs and at the end of the day, they have the title and we have to dethrone them and we did not do that today.

Q: Did they change anything up with the run game late?

A: Yeah, they did a little bit of tweaking. Early in the game they were going against their tendencies. Kind of passing in run situations, running in passing situations and then late in the game I think they found their niche and they stuck with it and the running back ran really hard. They moved 71 inside to guard and I think they had a lot of success with that. I would have to tell you a little more once I watch the film.
