This is a BAD loss. We'll most likely have a losing record in two weeks. Didn't realize that the Packers have a bye next week which is not fair with us coming off a short week.To make matters even worse, we are on the road.
our own freakin' house....despite all that happened, I felt Eli would lead us to a fg...we didn't need a td.....we had time and a timeout....I still can't believe he threw that pass on first down(two on first down, and another on first down was dropped)...and for some reason, Eli has thrown a lot of int's over two years, in the direction of Vereen....he also missed the same pass to Vereen, that he did last week, on a simple out, coming out of the backfield....
- put the skins away early in the season by breaking their backs
- go 2-0 in the division
- win a division game at home (blowing this one basically gives back the dallas game)
- have the kind of season where you beat the teams you're supposed to instead of hobbling toward inconsistency
- another plus in eli's legacy instead of that embarrassment
just a bit of a head-scratcher for eli. are the apologists going to say that pick was on vereen? just an awful, awful decision.
Having the chance to go 3-0 with two wins in the divisions and then losing a two point game in such undisciplined fashion is very frustrating. This one will stick with me awhile.
Interesting point of who gets more upset after a loss, the fans or the players. I will tell you from my experience with the players,we,the fans, are MUCH more upset.
the way the Giants did today and have been doing for years. It seems like they play the game to see how many times they can fuck up and still find a way to win.
Turnovers, penalties, poor defense and missed open receivers, and they still had a chance.
This loss sucked but there is a lot of football left. There are some positives to build on and hopefully the negatives can be corrected. Lots of teams looked bad today.
can deal with losing better if they played a "good" game
but years of "consistent" mistakes and missed opportunities is just pathetic. It has become almost predictable with them. Yet to change it around..and who knows if they will
Then I see our guys smiling talking to the opponent and then I start to think... who's more pissed? Me or them? Then I get more mad.
the reality is that the nfl players community is close knit. I do think generally the players care about winning and losing and there are definite rivalries - but to quote antrelle rolle, at the end of the day, it's just a game and these guys have a lot of mutual respect.

Yeah and when Beckham gets pissed because we squander an opportunity the same fans give him shit. Can't have it both ways.

Unfortunately that's right.. I've I was paid millions to do a job and failed... man I would be pretty upset.. I can't blame Beckham. I respect him more.
What the hell happened that all of a sudden this team is getting penalties for unsportmanlike conduct and other shameful acts?
1) Weston Richburg got ejected? really? he needed to hit Norman in the back? Really?
2) Flowers was the ninth best player in that draft? Really?
3) Odell, Shep and Cruz all out there with Hall and Breeland out and Eli throws deep balls to ....RBs?
4)We have tight ends on this team?
5) Vernon is a thief
6) This team played so dirty. McAdoo should be embarrassed.
7) Vereen is too used to deflated footballs.
8) They should just play darkwa over everyone else.
9) This defense has ZERO turn overs in 3 games
10) Next years drafts better be all DEs, OL and TEs. And that's it.
Ok, so some of this is exaggerated, but I am really upset that this team played like a bunch of D Bags. we blocked a punt, but we got a penalty for unnecessary roughness by the 53rd player on our team. Vernon roughs the passer that would have given them 3rd and 17. Richburg is not a leader on this team IMO. He still needs to earn his stripes. Rainy drops a TD that was almost picked. Just all around sloppy.
I know it is one game, but this was a big game at home, and that's how they played? Dirty? Undisciplined? Not to mention, they barely won the first two games.
Oh, and finally, Odell needs to stop PMSing. It was good seeing Eli trying to calm his ass down though.
The Giants did everything wrong...

Not sure how you correct the little talent thats is our
Offensive Line ....
For this game. The reason? This team cannot deal with prosperity. Seemingly ever. This game had all the earmarks of a late Coughlin Era loss: turnovers, penalties, bad ST play, bad defense, and a late game blunder by the guy who we depend upon the most. I'm sick to my stomach at what a blown opportunity this was. Coming home for Baltimore in 3 weeks at 3-2 vs a likely 2-3 is an enormous difference. Hopefully we're not lamenting this loss in early January as a reason why the NYG aren't a playoff team for the 5th consecutive season, but I have an uneasy feeling in my gut telling me we will be.
I tell myself all the right things. I try believing all the right things. I'm a grown man. Have a great family. Decent good enough job. I'm lucky. Great life. And it still kinda ruins my fucking week.
Nice walk through Georgetown after the game. Hot women everywhere. Listened to classic rock on ride home. Took kids to the park. Went with kids to see Storks. Completely avoided radio and Internet, except for BBI.
This one hurts bad. The number of lethal mistakes was staggering. Crappy tackling. Lack of aggressiveness on offense and defense. Dirty play. Ridiculous turnovers. Baker flat out blowing up Eli like I'm not sure I have seen before. Kickoff out of bounds. JFC. The list would choke a fucking donkey.
No football for me next Sunday. I will check in Monday night. I follow one pro sports team. Not sure how some of you are invested in multiple sports. This sucks.
What happened? I turned off my TV and refuse to look or listen to sports until Monday night.
bingo.
Was there too.
And at home. FUCK.
Not an easy task. That Minny defense is playing very well. Hopefully they will have a let down after their big win today.

ugh. this one is really bothering me...
That term right there (self-inflicted) is nail in the cake, Cherry on the coffin, needle that broke the camel's back.
Let our opponent beat us ... don't let our play ... beat us.
LOL.
You're right. This was like so many losses spanning years and coaches.

Man you're not kidding. I didn't even know what the hell was going on half the time with all the crazy bizzaro world penalties.

That was cringeworthy. That is such a low percentage play to have the punter throw the ball that deep. Brutal
Wade looked great on that play....(rolling eyes)
I didn't know he got thrown out until I got home.
